CHESTER BENNINGTON’s Pre-LINKIN PARK Band GREY DAZE Returns With ‘The Phoenix’ Album

GREY DAZE, Chester Bennington‘s pre-LINKIN PARK band, will release a new album, “The Phoenix”, on June 17 via Loma Vista Recordings. Harry Styles had of the most anticipated sets on Coachella’s first day. After starting off his set with a slew of ballads, he kicked up the tempo and even brought out Shania Twain. The two performed debatably Twain’s biggest hits “Man, I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still the One.” In between songs, Twain said she was “starstruck” by Styles and he said she’s the woman who taught him to sing. Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has unveiled the new song “High Plains Drifter” from his upcoming instrumental solo EP, Portals, out April 23rd. The song offers the first taste of music from the EP, and sees Hammett embracing his fondness for cinema and epic musical composition. The guitarist enlisted the help of Edwin Outwater (Metallica’s S&M2), Jon Theodore of Queens of the Stone Age (and a member of Kirk’s covers act The Wedding Band), and members of the LA Philharmonic orchestra to achieve the grandeur heard on “High Plains Drifter.” As Hammett explained in a press release, the track shares an inspirational relationship with the 1973 film of the same name. PUP Add Dates to 2022 North American Headlining Tour

PUP have added a run of fall dates to their ongoing North American headlining tour. The new round of tour stops begins September 6th in Grand Rapids, Michigan and runs throughout the month with stops in Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore, and more before wrapping September 25th in Burlington, Vermont. Currently, the punk rockers are making their way through the West. This weekend they’re set to perform at The Van Buren in Phoenix followed by shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Denver in the coming days. After finishing up this latest run of newly-announced dates, the band will also head overseas in October for the tour’s UK and European leg.
