TESTAMENT’s ERIC PETERSON ‘Has Been Stockpiling Riffs’ For Next Studio Album
TESTAMENT singer Chuck Billy spoke to “The Cassius Morris Show” about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band’s follow-up to 2020’s “Titans Of Creation” album. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Eric [Peterson, TESTAMENT guitarist], actually, during COVID, has been stockpiling riffs, so there’ll be a new TESTAMENT album sooner than later. Sleater-Kinney Announce Dig Me Out Covers Album Featuring St. Vincent, Wilco, and More
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third record, Dig Me Out, Sleater-Kinney have announced a new covers album coming this summer. The collection is set to feature St. Vincent, Wilco, Courtney Barnett, Low, the Linda Lindas, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, and more covering songs from the band’s 1997 album. A portion of the proceeds from the album will go toward SMYRC, a Portland-based LGBTQIA+ youth center. Check out the band’s announcement on Instagram. Massive Detroit Tigers fan Jack White was on hand at Comerica Park to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the Tigers’ home opener against the Chicago White Sox. Watch his guitar performance of the national anthem below. In an interview before the performance, White said it’s his first time ever playing the national anthem. White also discussed his hopes for the Tigers, doubling down on his prediction of a 90-win season and a playoff berth. ‘Naruto’ Fan Edits Out 115 Hours of Anime Filler for Girlfriend
After running out of anime to watch together, YouTuber Oceaniz asked his girlfriend Laura if she would be up to watch Naruto. Despite being one of Oceaniz’s favorite series, the YouTuber didn’t want to subject her to all 720 episodes of the iconic anime. Starting back in January and completed around mid-March, Oceaniz took it upon himself to create “Oceaniz’s Naruto: The Ocean Cut.” The version created in Adobe Premiere cut out unnecessary flashbacks and filler that stretched the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden story to its massive length. Daniel Radcliffe recently shared that he is interested in doing superhero films, thought he is waiting for the right opportunity to come and “not rushing” into it. In a conversation with Insider to promote his new film The Lost City starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, he also spoke about how he will be a “natural fit” for the role of Spider-Man.
