Horsegirl Release Latest Single ‘World of Pots and Pans’
Chicago indie-rock band Horsegirl released a new single titled “World of Pots and Pans.” The new track is a love song complete with fuzzy post-punk instrumentals and deadpan vocals reminiscent of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Despite the rugged exterior of the song, there is a tender charm in the lyrics that describes an unrequited romance. The accompanying lyric video features the band placing the lyrics on an overhead projector in time with the music. In a landmark moment for the dance music industry, Silvia Montello has been named the new CEO of the Association For Electronic Music (AFEM). Montello will replace Greg Marshall, who has served as CEO over the last four years.
