In the crowded landscape of video games known as Spring 2022, Ghostwire: Tokyo serves as the only paranormal vacation to Japan. Of course, since it’s made by the Japanese horror masterminds at Tango Gameworks, digital travelers better be ready for some visits from spirits, demons, and various other creepy crawlies (often based on Japanese folklore) on their trip. After all, the version of Tokyo presented in Ghostwire: Tokyo is nearly devoid of regular human life — instead filled with “Visitors” who aren’t always the friendliest of guests. With a unique take on modern Tokyo and a variety of ghastly enemies to take down, the first-person action-adventure title veers pretty far from Tango’s previous Bethesda-published entries in The Evil Within series — and simultaneously separates itself fro...
In what appears to be a constant stream of delays in the video game industry, Nintendo has now suffered the same fate with its planned release of the sequel to the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, pushing its original 2022 release window to 2023. Announcing the update via a YouTube video, the franchise’s producer Eiji Aonuma apologized to fans for the extended wait and assured them that developers are currently hard at work trying to create “something special,” citing the expansive world that players will be able to explore. “As previously announced, the adventure in this sequel will take place not just on the ground as in the previous game, but also in the skies above. However, the expanded world goes beyond that, and there will be an even wider variety of fea...
Though the game is still some time away from being released, Blizzard has now given fans an update on the development of Diablo IV, offering a first look at the different areas in its new open world as well as the dungeons you’ll soon get to explore. Set in the gothic world of Sanctuary, the open-world experience will consist of five main regions that span across a wide variety of terrain and weather conditions, including the wild shorelines of Scosglen Coast, the desiccated plains of the Dry Steppes, and the militaristic settlement of Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks. Aside from the first look at some of these new areas, the development also showcased its work on the game’s environmental art and design that’ll permeate throughout its more than 150 different randomized dungeons you’ll...

Essentially, it’s the current PlayStation Plus program. In the middle will be the Extra tier, which will set you back $15 USD a month. You’ll get all the perks of the previous tier, but with added access to a catalog of up to 400 downloadable PlayStation 4 and PlaySt...
A California judge has approved an $18 million USD settlement between Activision Blizzard’s and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The settlement stems from a complaint that the EEOC filed in September following a multi-year investigation, in which Activision Blizzard employees alleged that they faced sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination at the company and were punished if they complained. In February, a federal judge denied the request of California state regulators for a delay in the settlement case made by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). The DFEH had argued that the settlement would hurt its own case against Activision by allowing the company to destroy relevant evidence. As part of the new agreement with the EEOC, Activis...
Kevin Morby has released a new single “Rock Bottom,” with an accompanying video this morning. The song comes from his forthcoming album This Is A Photograph which was announced earlier this month. Along with Morby himself, the “Rock Bottom” video features jewelry artist and TikTok star Ariel Kellogg along with Tim Heidecker. The playful video uses bright colors and modern scenes to display a modern, parodied version of a western. The heroes of the story can expect to elicit laughs from the viewers of the video as they sling bright pink nunchucks turning ordinary summertime settings into goofy battleground scenes. “For the video, director Johnny Eastlund and I decided we wanted to make an Ice Cream themed Nunchucking Western,” Morby said in a statement. “So I tagged in one of my Instagram n...
Fan-filmed video of PUDDLE OF MUDD performing a cover version of BLACK SABBATH‘s “War Pigs” during the band’s headlining set on March 18 at the Honeymoon Rock Fest in Oklahoma City can be seen below. Last November, PUDDLE OF MUDD frontman Wes Scantlin made headlines when he walked offstage midconcert at the EPIC Event Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin after complaining about the venue’s lights. Wes had almost non-stop problems with the law, alcohol, finances and other issues, before claiming to have gotten sober in 2017. Scantlin said that he ended up going back to rehab and receiving treatment “because there’s really nowhere else to go.” He also credited his family and fans for giving him the strength to try to get better. Scantlin was arrested...
Bassist Danny Lilker of New York thrash veterans NUCLEAR ASSAULT says the group’s June appearance at the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly could turn out to be their final United States performance. The band will play its seminal 1986 “Game Over” debut in full at the event. In a recent interview with Decibel magazine editor-in-chief Albert Mudrian, Danny touched upon why NUCLEAR ASSAULT has resisted the ongoing trend of bands playing their popular albums front-to-back in a live setting. “It’s funny,” he said. “There’s this thing now what they call ‘deep cuts’ and everything. Musicians laugh at that expression because that means ‘shit you never wanted to play live’ because you have an hour to play and you p...
For the first time in over 20 years, 20 of SEX PISTOLS‘ recordings from 1976 to 1978 are collected together to tell the story of one of the world’s most influential and extraordinary bands. “Sex Pistols: The Original Recordings” covers a historic period when the band were rarely out of the news or the charts. SEX PISTOLS left the British establishment shaking when they exploded onto the music scene, kickstarting what later became known as punk — a term the band was never comfortable with. Young people ripped up not just their musical forebears but their social ones too and SEX PISTOLS were the snarling, ferocious figurehead of the revolution. They made one perfect, 40-minute album for the ages in 1977’s “Never Mind The Bollocks” and from its artwor...
Multi-Grammy-nominated rock act NOTHING MORE has dropped the official music video for their new song “Turn It Up Like (Stand In The Fire)”. The track, released via Better Noise Music on Friday, gives fans a first taste of the band’s long-awaited new studio album due later this year. The new visual, directed by Robyn August (Snoop Dogg, Pitbull), continues the band’s striking red and white color schemes used on their last album and showcases the intense and urgent energy of the song’s lyrics. Co-written by all four band members, the track is an unapologetic sonic rejection of the divisive, digitally-drowned state of the world with lyrics like: “All my friends are dead / They all got fucked by the Internet / All my friends are dead / Our brain’s bein...
