He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Half of the record is done. I went out to L.A. — over the last month, I spent about three weeks there in total — and I’ve just been writing and working and coming up with kind of the new sound for this record. And it’s just been happening really, really fast. And it’s my favorite stuff I’ve ever written. I know a lot of people say that about their new stuff that’s not out yet, but truly for me, it just couldn’t describe more about where I’m at in my life, and I think the sound reflects that.” Caleb elaborated on the musical direction of the ...

Bloom Vol 9: Wisdom

Wisdom. The highly regarded philosopher Plato believed that Wisdom was one of four core virtues of the soul. To be wise is to wield information against ignorance through positive action. When times get tough, it is easy for us to reject all that we have come to know, seemingly willfully ignorant of any advice life has supplied. I’ll be the first to say that such a reaction is valid and fair regarding our mental health. It is a return to what we knew; a familiar setting where we might potentially hurt ourselves and others. Yet if we continue to do repeatedly, our support network may be strained. Perhaps this reads as harsh, implying “you better be able to listen to yourself at all times and snap out of it.” That is not the case at all. Wisdom builds up over time. What is suggested here, and...

Taylor Swift’s 40 Biggest Hot 100 Hits

Emerging as a country singer-songwriter on her 2006 self-titled debut before branching out into the worlds of pop music, indie folk and beyond, Swift has notched eight No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100, inspired a dedicated legion of Swifties and won the Grammy for album of the year three times — for Fearless, 1989 and Folklore; She is just the fourth person, and the first woman, to win that prestigious Grammy three times.
