Charli XCX is in pole position for her first U.K. No. 1 with Crash (via Atlantic). The British singer and producer leads the chart race at the midway stage with Crash, her fifth studio album. His grad school program gave two options: either choose music (Idol) or choose acting (grad school). “I was told I couldn’t have it all,” he explains at the top of his audition Monday (March 21). He chose Idol, and, as a result, lost funding through his fellowship. It was a big call, and, thankfully, he had a big audition on Idol. NBC’s American Song Contest, the red, white and blue adaptation of the Eurovision Song Contest, is officially underway. Eight weeks on, those 56 artists will be narrowed down to just one, and the best original song in the country will be declared. Denzel Curry and T-Pain Open up About Their “Troubles” in New Collab

Denzel Curry has joined forces with T-Pain for his brand new single, “Troubles.” Produced by Kenny Beats and DJ Khalil, the two-minute cut hears the pair in a vulnerable state as they open up about the problems they face that unfortunately can’t be solved by neither money nor drugs. Candyland’s Josie Martin On Reunion After 8 Years: “Hopefully, Our Fans Get to Relive Some Memories”

Candyland are officially back—and with renewed perspective and a creative direction they’re embracing in earnest. In a new interview with EDM.com, Candyland’s Josie Martin explains that the decision to walk away from the music industry in 2019 felt like a “life or death” moment. It was an uncertain end to the Candyland saga, a project that started with a duo skyrocketing to prominence after delivering viral remixes of early 2010s dance hits from Bingo Players, Krewella, Skrillex, and more. But as quickly as their success began, Josie Martin and Ethan Davis found themselves going separate ways in 2014. Martin would continue Candyland solo following the split. Fortunately, however, the story doesn’t end there. In fact, Martin views walking away as one of the bes...

NGHTMRE and SLANDER Unfurl New Chapter In Collaborative Saga With Emotive Single, “Fall Into Me”

The latest offering in the saga of NGHTMRE and SLANDER is a tonal switch-up from the “gud” vibrations of yesteryear.  Their new single “Fall Into Me,” the lead from NGHTMRE’s forthcoming debut album, sees the bass music virtuoso back on a collision course with his most frequent collaborators. However, unlike prior efforts, “Fall Into Me” is characterized by heartstring-tugging verses and somber chord progressions. SLANDER and Dylan Matthew, seemingly have hit-making down to a science, and “Fall Into Me” has the ingredients to continue the trend. Matthew’s vocals are precluded by a melancholic piano solo in the track’s introduction. The “Love Is Gone” vocalist does what he does best, delivering a powerful ver...
