Future Islands Add European Dates to 2022 World Tour
Future Islands added 20 more UK and European headlining shows to their 2022 worldwide tour. As their first UK stint since 2018, the Baltimore-based quartet will hit the road throughout October and November. Gerrit Welmers, Michael Lowry, Samuel T. Herring, and William Cashion will kick off the beginning of the tour this week on March 23 in Manchester at Academy 1. Nick Mason‘s Saucerful of Secrets just announced rescheduled dates for their 28-stop tour of the U.S. and Canada. Tickets for the rescheduled tour go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. local on Friday, March 25. Initially set for January and February this year, The Echoes Tour was postponed due to the surges of COVID cases. For rescheduled shows that will be taking place at the same venue, all previously purchased tickets are valid for the new date. With Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 officially underway, Epic Games revealed that it is removing one of its most famous gameplay features: building. In a new blog post, Epic Games confirmed that the building aspect will temporarily be replaced with an Overshield in addition to a player’s Shield and Health. “Building has been wiped out,” the developers wrote. “To help maintain cover, you now have an Overshield on top of your Shield and Health. With anticipation for the two live-action Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter films in full swing, Square Enix has now joined in on the 20th-anniversary celebrations for Fullmetal Alchemist with a new trailer for its upcoming mobile game. Scheduled to arrive this summer, the new mobile game developed will be available on both iOS and Android devices. It’ll follow the main plot of Hiromu Arakawa’s original story with full voice-acting as well as cutscenes created with 3DCG technology, and the game is completely free-to-play, although you’ll also have optional in-game purchases if you so wish. Machine Gun Kelly Announces Massive 2022 Arena Tour
Machine Gun Kelly is slated to hit the road on his massive Mainstream Sellout Tour. The 52-stop run throughout North America and Europe will include support from Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, blackbear, Trippie Redd, WILLOW, iann dior, PVRIS, and 44phantom. The North American leg kicks off June 8 at Moody Center in Austin. The entire trek is produced by Live Nation. Hear the Lead Single From Phife Dawg’s Posthumous LP ‘Forever’
“Forever,” the title track of late MC Phife Dawg’s forthcoming posthumous album, has been released by his estate. The new single samples different hip-hop artists using the word “forever,” including Wu-Tang Clan and Outkast. It’s also the last song that the A Tribe Called Quest rapper recorded before his passing in 2016. Produced by DJ Rasta Root, V. Rich and Nottz, the Forever LP is scheduled to drop tomorrow, March 22, via a partnership between AWAL and Phife Dawg’s estate. Spanning 13 songs in total, the album includes the previously released “French Kiss Deux” featuring Illa J and “Nutshell Part 2” featuring Busta Rhymes and Redman.
