ROSALÍA has dropped off her first album in almost four years, MOTOMAMI. Clocking in at just under 45 minutes, the experimental 16-track record features guest appearances from The Weeknd on “LA FAMA” and Tokischa on “LA COMBI VERSACE,” along with collaborative efforts from the likes of Pharrell and Chad Hugo, James Blake, Frank Dukes and Cory Henry. This marks her first solo full-length effort since 2018’s El Mal Querer, and is billed as the “most personal and confessional album” she’s created so far. Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, ROSALÍA explained that she pushed her limits in order to write, produce and record MOTOMAMI: “I’m very grateful to all the people that have been part of the album, but this album wouldn’t exist without the sacrifice and the dedication and the blood, swea...

In late 2018, Rosalía captivated audiences with El Mal Querer, her breakthrough album where she gave flamenco music a modern pop twist. Since then, the Spanish singer-songwriter has performed around the world and expanded her sonic palette. In her follow-up, MOTOMAMI, she changes lanes and subverts her pop and flamenco roots with global sounds like reggaeton and bolero, all while reflecting on her newfound fame. Those who wanted another full flamenco affair like El Mal Querer might be disappointed, but MOTOMAMI is an exciting detour where Rosalía flexes her seemingly limitless artistry across 16 tracks. MOTAMAMI is split between an aggressive MOTO side and a vulnerable MAMI side. Rosalía rips into the album with the scorching “Saoko” — in which she interpolates “Saoco” by Puerto Rican regg...

Today (March 17) is St. Patrick’s Day, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hosted the annual Friends of Ireland luncheon at the White House. At the luncheon, Speaker Pelosi read a poem that she said was written by U2 frontman Bono. According to a tweet from Bono, he has an annual tradition of sending Pelosi a limerick for the luncheon. “This year the limerick is irregular & not funny at all,” he wrote. The poem, per Pelosi’s recitation, begins, “Oh Saint Patrick he drove out the snakes,” and it closes with a reference to Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky: “Ireland’s sorrow and pain/Is now the Ukraine/And Saint Patrick’s name now Zelensky.” Read the full poem and watch Pelosi’s recitation below. Note: This article discusses alleged sexual assault. In the Amy Berg–directed documentary Phoenix Rising, which aired this week on HBO, Evan Rachel Wood alleged that she was “essentially raped on camera” by Marilyn Manson during the filming of the music video for his 2007 single “Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand).” On Wednesday (March 16) in an Instagram story, Wood shared a petition calling for YouTube to remove that video. The video is still available on the service, and according to a YouTube representative, it isn’t coming down at this time. “We’re monitoring the situation closely and will take appropriate action if we determine there is a breach of our creator responsibility guidelines,” YouTube spokesperson Jack Malon said in a statement. YouTube’s community...
