How a 2-Year Delay Changed ATEEZ’s First U.S. Arena Tour & Inspired Their Next Steps

When ATEEZ returned to America for the first time since 2019, the breakout K-pop group wasn’t as much amazed by upgrading from 800-person-capacity clubs to sold-out arenas as they were with finally reuniting with the actual people in the audience.  “We just saw them on screens for two years, but now finally we see each other,” says Hongjoong, ATEEZ’s bubbly leader who turns into the fervent and fiery captain onstage. “When we were in Korea, we had online fan meetings with many American fans, but it felt like we were watching them on TV. It’s really amazing to see them in person; it’s almost unbelievable.” Explore Explore ATEEZ See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news With puppy-like energy palpable as they hang out together, hardly any question for ATEEZ g...

Russia Blocks Instagram Amid Widening Social Media Crackdown

(AP) — Russian regulators said Friday that internet users will be blocked from accessing Instagram because it’s being used to call for violence against Russian soldiers, in Moscow’s latest move to tighten up access to foreign social platforms. The communications and media regulator, Roskomnadzor, said in a statement that it’s restricting national access to Instagram because the platform is spreading “calls to commit violent acts against Russian citizens, including military personnel.” Facebook parent Meta Platforms, which also owns Instagram, didn’t respond immediately to a request for comment. Roskomnadzor specifically cited a Thursday tweet by Meta spokesman Andy Stone conveying a company statement saying it had “made allowances for forms of political expression that would normally viola...

Lil Durk has unleashed his highly-anticipated The Voice follow-up, 7220, out via Only the Family, Alamo Records and Sony Music. Just yesterday, March 10, the rapper amped-up fans for the impending release by sharing a music video for the track “Golden Child” and revealed the project’s tracklist. Durk’s collaboration with Wallen “Broadway Girls” was released in October as the lead single for the project. The brooding video also features Taggart’s counterpart, Alex Pall, performing the song on the keyboard. Recommended Articles “Someti...

R.I.P. Bobbie Nelson, Founding Member of Willie Nelson’s Family Band Dead at 91

Bobbie Nelson, Willie Nelson’s older sister and an original member of his Family Band, died on Thursday (March 10th) at the age of 91. A quiet, yet steadying, presence on the piano at live shows, Nelson passed away while surrounded by family. “Her elegance, grace, beauty, and talent made this world a better place. She was the first member of Willie’s band, as his pianist and singer,” reads a statement from the Nelson family. “Our hearts are broken and she will be deeply missed. But we are so lucky to have had her in our lives. Please keep her family in your thoughts and give them the privacy they need at this time.” Born on New Year’s Day in 1931, Nelson was two years older than her more famous brother, but he still referred to her as his “Little Sister Bobbie” on stage. Creepy Lars Ulrich Metallica Toilet Acquired by a Museum in Denmark

The creepy toilet in the likeness of Metallica’s Lars Ulrich is making its way to the drummer’s birth country of Denmark, where it has been acquired by the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in Copenhagen. A cursed piece of art if there ever was one, the toilet finding its home at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum only makes sense. We previously reported on the functioning crapper when it made the viral rounds online last year. Even weirder, it was created by the same Florida-based metalhead who claimed to have forged a guitar out of his dead uncle’s skeleton. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the artist, who goes by Prince Midnight, donated the toilet to Ripley Entertainmentin Orlando, where it currently resides in the a warehouse before shipping off to Denmark. Before that, it enjoyed...

Drug Church Goes Melodic (But Not That Melodic) On Hygiene

On the surface, Drug Church is just another hardcore punk band. They play fast and loud. Vocalist Patrick Kindlon often sounds angry. It’s the kind of music your grandma would probably hate. But underneath their aggressive facade, the Albany quintet’s catchy melodies and dark humorous takes on current societal and cultural issues make their tunes — like the ones on their brand new album, Hygiene (out now on Pure Noise Records) — as profound as any more “mature” artist. Drug Church is able to sing about topics and connect with fans who would likely be turned off by some self-righteous band with a “message” so to speak. Hell, even Kindlon himself doesn’t want to hear about his lyrics being anything of particular importance. “I think any profundity in music is best when it’s accidental,” Kind...

In the meantime, he worked on Migos’ Culture III, which dropped last year, and more recently, made an guest appearance on Roddy Ricch’s sophomore album Live Life Fast. Every Sonic Youth Album, Ranked

Guitarists Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo and bassist Kim Gordon founded Sonic Youth in New York City in 1981, bringing Michigan-born drummer Steve Shelley on board to fill out the classic lineup in 1985. And for the next three decades, Sonic Youth ruled as one of alternative rock’s most influential bands, bringing alternate guitar tunings and feedback-drenched avant-garde noise to the major label world, headlining Lollapalooza, and even turning up on The Simpsons. Sonic Youth played its final show in 2011, with the band going on permanent hiatus after Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon’s divorce. But the band has continued to regularly release archival recordings, including several live albums issued directly to Bandcamp. And on March 18, Three Lobed Recordings will release In/Out/In, an excel...

Latto Taps 21 Savage for Motorcycle-Filled “Wheelie” Video

Latto on Friday dropped off her hotly-anticipated track “Wheelie,” with 21 Savage, alongside an accompanying, motorcycle-filled music video. After teasing the track’s featured artist with several hints in February, Latto unveiled the official cover art for “Wheelie” on Instagram on Wednesday, confirming that 21 Savage offers a few guest verses on the single only two days prior to its release. The video, directed by Colin Tilley, sees Latto performing a wheelie on a highway and dancing among a crowd of colorful vintage cars in a parking lot. “Pop it like a wheelie / Hop on top and I go silly,” she raps on the chorus before 21 Savage takes the mic in the foreground of a motorbike stunt performer flying through the sky. “Call my jeweler like, ‘I wanna go blind,’” he raps on his verse. “Thirty...
