Ricardo Arjona posts his 21st top 10 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart as Blanco y Negro debuts at No. 8 on the March 12-dated survey. The live event industry fought hard to implement COVID-19 vaccine mandates and mask requirements in order to bring back shows, but with dropping cases and high inoculation rates, promoters and venue owners are steadily moving away from strict safety precautions. When Coachella announced in February that it is dropping all COVID-19 safety restrictions for its upcoming event in April, it set the stage for the entire festival season to come. Coachella producer Goldenvoice, which also runs the country music-focused Stagecoach in the same location, said both Indio events would no longer require fans to show proof of vaccination, obtain negative COVID-19 tests prior to entering or need to wear masks. Coachella — with headliners Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West – was the first major fes...

In her new role, Los Angeles-based Krane will oversee all legal matters, including strategic business initiatives, mergers and acquisitions and international expansion at CAA. That M&A activity includes CAA’s proposed acquisition of ICM, which the U.S. Department of Justice is scrutinizing for the impact of the major agencies’ proposed merger on the entertainment industry. The acquisition, unveiled in Sept. 2021, is looking to be completed in the second quarter of this year. “CAA’s devotion to, and consistent success for, the world’s top talent and brands unquestionably begins with its exceptional internal culture of service and collaboration. To play a role in that special environment and help ...

Kid Rock will release his new album, “Bad Reputation”, digitally on March 21. Physical CDs will be available on April 6. “Bad Reputation” will include the three songs Kid Rock released in January — “We The People”, “The Last Dance” and “Rockin'” — as well as his November 2021 single “Don’t Tell Me How To Live”, which was recorded with Canadian hard rockers MONSTER TRUCK. “We The People” features the chorus of “Let’s go, Brandon,” conservative code for “Fuck Joe Biden” (born when a NASCAR reporter misheard a crowd, reporting that they chanted in support of racer Brandon Brown when they were actually chanting expletives toward the U.S. president), and also takes aim at the ...
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! museum in Denmark has acquired the toilet a heavy metal musician and visual artist from Tampa, Florida sculpted to look like METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich. The artist known as Prince Midnight donated the toilet to Ripley Entertainment, which will soon be shipped to the Ripley‘s “odditorium” in Copenhagen, where it will go on permanent display. Although some people have interpreted the Ulrich toilet as an insult, Prince Midnight insists that is “absolutely not the case.” “This toilet was built by a METALLICA super fan,” he told the Tampa Bay Times. “They wrote the first songs that meant something to me.” Prince Midnight said he chose to depict Ulrich in toilet form becau...
Veteran California rockers TESLA have released the official lyric video for their latest single, “Cold Blue Steel”. The clip, directed by Brandon Gullion and produced by guitarist Frank Hannon, is raw and high electric energy that takes fans back to the roots of TESLA. Hannon states: “‘Cold Blue Steel’ is influenced by current events of the world, just like our debut single ‘Modern Day Cowboy’ (1986), and touches on the subject fairly and open-minded by asking ‘what’s to blame?’ when it comes to violence in the world. More importantly, the recording and production of the song and video are kept raw and real, just the way TESLA fans want to see and hear us. We are survivors and have been rocking for 35-plus years.” The 2022 r...
GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Slash spoke to Canada’s iHeart Radio about what it’s like to be a father to sons London and Cash Hudson, both of whom have expressed interest in playing music. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I’ve got two kids that are both really musical, but one of ’em is more into hip-hop and techno kind of stuff, and then the other one, the older one [London], is the rock drummer. And his band [S8NT ELEKTRIC] just opened for DIRTY HONEY and MAMMOTH [WVH] in San Diego the other night. So that’s really sort of a trip for me. Because I was 19 when I joined GUNS N’ ROSES and he’s 19 now and he’s in this band that’s out gigging all the time. So it’s really sort of surreal.” He continued: R...
