On Tuesday (March 8), the controversial Parents Rights in Education bill was passed in the Florida Senate, leading Ariana Grande and other famous faces to speak out against it. Better known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, the potential law would restrict teachers from speaking about LGBTQ+ history, people, and other topics in school classrooms across the state and give parents the right to sue educators and administrators who did so. A proposed amendment to the bill would also require school counselors and teachers to out LGBTQ+ students to their parents at home if they come out or confide in a trusted adult at school. Florence Pugh could be reuniting with Little Women co-star Timothée Chalamet in Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune: Part 2. According to reports, the Black Widow actress is currently in negotiations to portray Princess Irulan Corrino — a main character in Frank Herbert’s sci-fi epic who eventually becomes romantically involved with Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. If a deal is inked, this will mark a new collaboration between Pugh and Chalamet, who both starred in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women adaptation as Amy March and Theodore “Laurie” Lawrence, respectively. Following Disney‘s acquisition of 21st Century Studios, fans have been waiting for Marvel characters from both two sides to unite in the MCU. Marvel Studios concept illustrator Andrew Kim recently released an illustration that reveals the appearance of Deadpool in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Kim’s original concept designs for Shang-Chi show a cameo that was omitted from the main film set in Macau’s illegal fight club Golden Daggers. The rendering shows Deadpool facing off against Thanos’ daughter Proxima Midnight, a scene which was replaced by Wong’s battle with Abomination in the actual film.
