Disney+ To Launch Ad-Supported Subscription Tier

Disney has announced plans to launch an ad-supported subscription tier for its Disney+ streaming services, with aims to introduce it in the US in late 2022 and in international markets in 2023. According to reports, Disney’s plans will help the company to achieve its long-term goal of earning between 230 to 260 million Disney+ subscribers by FY2024. Deadline adds that the streaming service’s growth has been slowing down despite having 130 million subscribers by the end of 2021, and that Disney+’s one-dollar price hike from 2021 was likely a “short-term impediment to growth.” “Expanding access to Disney+ to a broader audience at a lower price point is a win for everyone – consumers, advertisers, and our storytellers,” Kareem Daniel, Chairman, Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, sai...

‘Gran Turismo 7’ Legendary Cars Could Cost You Hundreds of Dollars USD

Now that Gran Turismo 7 is out, with many fans saying that it is the most complete version to date, there’s some bad news for those looking to amass the perfect collection in their garage. If you’re not willing to grind for in-game credits, which can be used to purchase some of the rarest cars, it’s going to cost you a lot of real money. With the current highest amount of credits (2 million) priced at $20 USD, this makes cars like the Porsche 919 Hybrid 16 and McLaren P1 GTR ’16 cost close to $40 USD if bought outright. While these microtransactions can quickly add up, there’s one car so far that trumps them all, and that’s the 1929 Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer which costs 20 million credits, or $200 USD — hope you have a comfortable racing setup. In other gaming news, Thomas the Tank Eng...

Drake is facing a new set of allegations regarding his smash hit tracks “In My Feelings” and “Nice For What.” The accuser, who has already failed twice in the same copyright lawsuit, is hoping the third time is the charm. Billboard reports that New Orleans artist Samuel Nicholas claims tha the “bounce” sound in those two Drake songs are “directly copying” his 2000 track “Roll Call (Instrumental).” The prior two times Nicholas has filed the lawsuit have been dismissed since he failed to actually litigate them. Nicholas is claiming that Drake’s producer BlaqNmilD, also known as Adam J. Pigott, sampled his song. Reps for Pigott stated to Billboard that they did not copy his track, but rather both Pigott and Nicholas sampled the same track, an earlier song by the Queens hip hop duo The Showboy...
