Listen to Tiësto’s Intoxicating Remix of ACRAZE’s Breakout Hit, “Do It To It”

After months of teasing, Tiësto has finally unveiled his hotly anticipated remix of ACRAZE‘s global hit, “Do It To It.” Tiësto’s remix is an artful reimagining of the original from ACRAZE, who was recently named to EDM.com‘s Class of 2022. The Dutch dance music legend infused a fresh dose of his signature production into “Do It To It,” beautifully interpolating the classic Cherish lyrics with an electrifying, four-on-the-floor beat. Building on the ingenious simplicity of ACRAZE’s original, Tiësto rendition is a dancefloor filler—just like its progenitor. It’s the first official remix of the international house hit, though many artists have released their own unofficial edits, such as Zedd’s viral Squid Game ma...

Swedish House Mafia Enlist Fabled Guitarist Sting for New Single, “Redlight”: Listen

DAVID DRAIMAN: ‘I Don’t Think That There Would Be A DISTURBED Without PANTERA’

DISTURBED‘s David Draiman was one of the musicians who joined Lou Brutus of HardDrive Radio to celebrate the 30th anniversary of PANTERA‘s classic sophomore major label album “Vulgar Display Of Power”. Speaking about the impact the LP had on his musical upbringing, Draiman said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “[PANTERA] really, I think, at that point, had honed the whole groove metal thing that they had pioneered; they had gotten it to be so, so perfect. And look, that record was songs we covered, songs we adored, songs that were the soundtrack to many a late-night bit of Sodom and Gomorrah on the bus [laughs] — all kinds of craziness. There was all kinds of moments that those songs are literally part of the soundtrack to our upbringing. “A lot of ...

Sasami’s New Album Squeeze Is A Haunted House

By Danielle Chelosky In many ways, Sasami Ashworth’s life has been leading up to this moment. Studying classical music through middle school and high school, the Los Angeles-based artist has been refining her ear since she was a kid. After furthering her studies in college, she became a music teacher while touring with bands part-time. It was when she was assisting Bright Eyes member Nate Walcott with arranging for other artists that she realized what she wanted to do. “I started understanding that my fluency in classical music and rock music could be tapped into,” she says over the phone in late January. “I could tap into that fluency, and have a role as a translator between the two worlds. I started doing that work for other artists, like Curtis Harding, and I did vocals for Wild Nothing...

Russia Banned From Eurovision 2022 After Ukraine Invasion

Russia will not be allowed to participate in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, the executive board of the European Broadcasting Union announced today (February 25). “The decision reflects concern that, in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine, the inclusion of a Russian entry in this year’s Contest would bring the competition into disrepute,” the EBU said in a statement. Find the full statement below. Several public figures in Russia have decried President Vladimir V. Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine. He’s seeking millions in damages. In a statement shared with Pitchfork, Once Upon a Time in LA Fest said: “Once Upon a Time in LA joins Drakeo’s family, friends, and fans in grieving his loss.
