You could measure the success of Karol G’s first North American headlining tour last year by the numbers: 24 shows, 128,000 tickets sold, a gross of $10.9 million, according to Billboard Boxscore. Or you could measure it in wigs: Countless fans, from the floor seats to the rafters, donning aqua-blue hair for the night to mimic the pop star’s own technicolor tresses. The first time she noticed it, “I was very shocked,” the 31-year-old says. “But after the tour, I realized Karol G and ‘Bichota’ ” — slang for bad b–ch, and the title of one of her hit singles — “are a movement.” Explore Explore Karol G See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news With her relatable lyrics, empowering expressions of female sexuality and adventurous sound — incorporating elements of R&am...

The “triple lindy” is a physics-defying dive composed of multiple flips completed between several diving boards. Rodney Dangerfield, comically unfit and forever disrespected, “completes” it (with stunt-double assistance and cutaways) in the 1986 comedy Back to School. Unlike Dangerfield, Sndtrak has garnered seemingly ubiquitous respect for his neck-breaking, jaw-dropping flips of familiar samples. Madlib, 9th Wonder, Ski Beatz, Battlecat—this is a shortlist of revered veteran hip-hop producers who’ve expressed admiration for Sndtrak. On the 32-year-old’s And Then There Was Light… (2021) and his latest, FLIPS V1: Triple Lindy, no TV show theme (“niteridin’), freaky ’80s funk hit (“supafreak”), mothership-made classic (“deepknees”), or blue-eyed soul jam (“nocando”) is safe. For the past few years, Dave Grohl has been up to something, if nothing everything. But Wednesday night on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the Foo Fighters frontman was stump by himself, literally. Grohl couldn’t name some of his own band’s songs during the “James That Tune” segment. [embedded content][embedded content] Alongside Hilary Duff, Corden began busting out some not-so-great piano skills on a kids’ electronic keyboard. After he played the chorus of the first song, Corden pointed at Grohl and said “You should know it.” “Is it “‘Everlong?’” Grohl initially guessed. It actually was “Learn To Fly” (But to be fair, no one could really guess). Oops. The exact situation above happened a second time, but Grohl appeared even more so done with Cord...

According to a new Bloomberg report, Activision Blizzard Inc. is delaying the annual release of its new Call of Duty game originally set to arrive in 2023. If realized, the move will mark the first time the mainline franchise will have skipped a year since 2005. While many have speculated that the delay has something to do with the recent $69 billion USD Microsoft acquisition, reports indicate that Activision made the decision autonomously, and the reason is due to the uncharacteristically poor performance of Call of Duty: Vanguard and worries of oversaturation as players opt to stick with past versions of the game. Now reportedly set for 2024, Treyarch has an extra year of breathing room to develop the new Call of Duty title. To fill the void, reports confirm a new “free-to-play online” g...
