Stromae Announces North American Tour

As Belgian musician Stromae prepares to return with Multitude, his first new album since 2013’s Racine Carrée, he’s announced an accompanying tour. After appearances at Coachella in April, he’s got dates from October to December across North America. Find the itinerary below. Multitude is out March 4 (via Mosaert/Darkroom/Interscope). Stars have announced From Capelton Hill, their first album in five years, with two new songs, “Pretenders” and “Snowy Owl.” The LP is set to drop on May 27 (via Last Gang/MNRK). Dan Rutman Joins Spotify as Head of Music Creator Partnerships

Dan Rutman has been hired at Spotify as head of music creator partnerships, the confirmed with Billboard on Friday (Feb. 18). Music Business Worldwide first reported the news after Rutman posted an update to LinkedIn the day prior. According to a job post advertising the role, Rutman will spearhead a partnerships strategy “that drives positive sentiment toward Spotify for Artists, accelerates creator adoption of our offerings, and positions Spotify as the ultimate place to build, reach, and monetize an audience.” He’ll also be tasked with developing “scalable processes to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously” while collaborating with Spotify for Artists leadership, creator marketing and Spotify’s corporate and business development teams. Netflix Announces 4 Upcoming Dave Chappelle Comedy Specials

Netflix has announced a series of stand-alone comedy series featuring comics selected by Dave Chappelle, titled Chappelle’s Home Team. The series, which is executive produced by Chappelle, is slated to debut on February 28, kicking off with a set from Washington comedian Earthquake (Nathaniel Martin Stroman) dubbed Earthquake: Legendary. Additional producers on the series include Earthquake, Rikki Hughes, Jermaine Smith and Stan Lathan, who is also directing. Chappelle — who will also appear in Netflix’s “Netflix Is a Joke” stand-up comedy festival at the Hollywood Bowl in April — will introduce each comic in the beginning of each episode.
