QUEENSRŸCHE Guitarist MIKE STONE On His Return To Band: ‘It’s Been Going Great’
Mike Stone says that his latest stint as QUEENSRŸCHE‘s guitar player has “been going great.” Since last May, Stone has been handling second-guitar duties in QUEENSRŸCHE, which announced in July that longtime guitarist Parker Lundgren was exiting the group to focus on “other business ventures.” Stone originally joined QUEENSRŸCHE for the 2003 album “Tribe” and stayed with the band for six years before leaving the group. Members of the nonprofit, The Miraculous Love Kids, released a new video performing the Tom Morello-written song, “God Help Us All.” The new song commemorates six months since the U.S. withdrew its troops from Afghanistan and the country fell to the Taliban. The video features a number of musicians in addition to Morello including drummer Nandi Bushell, Julien Baker, Serj Tankian, Cass McCombs, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Nils Lofgren. Kanye West’s forthcoming album Donda 2 was announced with a February 22 release date with an accompanying “Donda Experience Performance” scheduled that same day at LoanDepot Park in Miami. In an Instagram post, West shared a teaser of new music playing on the Stem Player he released in conjunction with Donda last year. He also claimed that it’s the only way fans will be able to hear the new album. “Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player,” he wrote. “Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube. The Sadies’ Dallas Good Dies at 48
Dallas Good, best known as the singer and guitarist for Canadian rock band the Sadies, has died, Exclaim! and Rolling Stone report. According to the band, Good died of natural causes. He was 48 years old. Good was the son of Bruce Good of the bluegrass group the Good Brothers, a Juno Award–winning band that was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Dallas co-founded the Sadies with his brother Travis in 1994, and, alongside bassist Sean Dean and drummer Mike Bellitsky, the Toronto band released its first album, Precious Moments, in 1998.
