Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Announce Rescheduled Stadium Tour

The monsters of ’80s rock are back. After two years of cancelations, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are finally ready to rock down stadiums across the U.S. and Canada. The iconic co-headliners are kicking off the massive run in June, and emerging rock band Classless Act is scheduled to support. “I remember when we went out with Ozzy in 1984 and how it was an insane game changer!!” Mötley Crüe’s drummer (and subject of Pam and Tommy Hulu series), Tommy Lee, who was an early follower of Classless Act said. “We literally blew up after having that opportunity to play live in front of 20,000 people every f***ing night! Twin Cities Heroes Hippo Campus Learn to Zen Out

In the months leading up to the pandemic, the typically carefree dudes in Twin Cities-based indie-rock outfit Hippo Campus hit their breaking point. They’d been touring for more than six years straight, with no more than two-month breaks between shows at any given time. “We were straight-up burnt out,” guitarist Nathan Stocker admits, noting how in addition to the stress of the road, the band was also undergoing managerial changes and “navigating individual and personal relationships issues just trying to maintain just our health and get back to the essence of the band.” As it turned out, “someone was clearly watching out for us,” lead singer Jake Luppen says, and while the pandemic was hardly anyone’s idea of an ideal situation, both Luppen and Stocker believe it was something of a blessi...

Fontaines D.C. Unveil New Song “I Love You”: Stream

Fontaines D.C. are back with a brooding new single. Listen to “I Love You” below. Like the curt “Life ain’t always empty” refrain of 2020’s “A Hero’s Death,” “I Love You” pounds its positive message into your skull with music so menacing, you question its intent. “I love you, I love you, I told you I do,” Grian Chatten insists, as swirling, Cure-style guitar fades in over slow-thumping bass. “It’s all I’ve ever felt, I’ve never felt so well,” he speak-sings. Once more with feeling, perhaps? “Ostensibly a love song,” as a press release puts it, Dublin’s favorite post punks fit some local commentary into the song of devotion as well, prompting Chatten to name the single “the first overtly political song we’ve written.” “It’s standing in the center of our beloved home country as a multitude o...

Amon Amarth are here to teach us how to properly row a viking ship. The Swedish metal band has offered up the cinematic music video for the new stand-alone single “Put Your Back into the Oar.” It’s a galvanizing slice of Viking-inspired heavy metal, one that will surely be a crowd favorite at Amon Amarth’s vibrant live shows. The accompanying clip, shot over three days in England, brings the song’s mythology to life. The track is the first new Amon Amarth composition we’ve heard since 2019’s Berserker. The single was recorded and mixed in January 2021 at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren. Related Video “We’ve been quiet over the last two years, but we’ve been at home in Sweden hard at work behind the scenes,” the band said in a press statement. “Much has been s...

Studio 666 follows Foo Fighters as they record their album, Medicine at Midnight, in a haunted mansion. As Grohl explained during an interview on The Howard Stern Show this week, Dream Widow’s music is a central plot point in the film. “I wind up finding this creepy basement.
