Dennis Rodman Recalls Wild Night At Techno Club Ahead of Critical 1996 NBA Finals Game

Dennis Rodman never let a playoff game get in the way of partying.  In fact, the NBA Hall of Fame forward frequently relieved the pressure of major games with nights out on the town. In his new book, Walk On The Wild Side, Rodman details one such outing ahead of a critical NBA Finals Game 6 against the Seattle Supersonics. The night began straightforward enough, with sushi and some Sake bombs, but with a crazy crew by his side, things rapidly went off the rails. Rodman found himself filling his head with “ear-splitting” techno music all night long at Chicago’s legendary Crobar nightclub.  “We ended up at Crobar, where they have a bondage rack and men will stand there writhing in pain while voluptuous women pour burning wax onto their ni...

The new dates will take place in March, April and May of 2023. All tickets previously purchased for the 2022 tour will be valid at the rescheduled 2023 shows. W.A.S.P. leader Blackie Lawless commented: “With enormous frustration, I’m forced to announce W.A.S.P. must postpone the 2022 European leg of the 40th-anniversary world tour. This hideous pandemic that’s stripped people of their freedom and lives, that’s caused countless artists to cancel or postpone shows for years, once again has reared its vicious head to claim us… again! For years we’ve worked really hard to make this tour our celebration, for ...

NITA STRAUSS’s Next Solo Single Will Be Instrumental

Nita Strauss, the Los Angeles-based guitar shredder for the ALICE COOPER band, spoke to SiriusXM‘s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” about her upcoming follow-up to 2018’s “Controlled Chaos” solo debut. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “It’s gonna be half and half — six tracks with vocalists and six tracks of instrumental [music]. The next single after this, I think, will be an instrumental one; we’ve been doing it live on the solo tour and it’s been getting a super-good reaction from our crowds. So I think the next one will be instrumental — kind of go back to the roots — and then another radio single after that.” Asked if she can talk about some of the other guests that appear on her new solo album, Nita said: ...

PHILIP ANSELMO ‘Was Surprised’ At How Positive Fan Response To PANTERA’s Vulgar Display Of Power’ Album Was

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of PANTERA‘s classic sophomore major label album “Vulgar Display Of Power”, The Pit has uploaded a video interview with the band’s vocalist Philip Anselmo. You can now watch the chat in two parts below. Speaking about his expectations for the LP at the time of its release, Anselmo said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “When ‘Vulgar Display Of Power’ first came out, my expectations for how it would do were none. I never had any expectations for any record we’ve ever done. I always felt like if I put an expectation upon it, I’d always get let down. So I just let things happen as things happened. “Now, the reception of the record and — God — the tours, the tours,” he continued. “The ...

Death Cab for Cutie Cover Yoko Ono’s “Waiting for the Sunrise”: Stream

Ben Gibbard’s latest project has been compiling an album of Yoko Ono covers in honor of the iconic — and often misunderstood — musician. Today, his band Death Cab for Cutie have shared their own contribution to Ocean Child: Songs of Yoko Ono before its February 18th release. “Waiting for the Sunrise” originally appeared on Ono’s 1973 double album Approximately Infinite Universe, which she co-produced with her husband John Lennon. The album saw Ono move from her avant-garde musical beginnings into a more straightforward pop sound, although “Waiting for the Sunrise” still has an endearing quirky spunk. Death Cab’s cover stays pretty authentic to Ono’s original, utilizing the same propulsive drum beat. They do give it a more rock-forward feel by adding some lovely vocal harmonies and a great ...

They haven’t played in front of a live audience in nearly three years. Now, with Beach House’s eighth album, Once Twice Melody, on the way, the duo has a double album’s worth of new material to perform. Legrand says the two of them are “the most prepared we’ve been for a long time to go out and play live.” “[Three years] is a long time in the music industry, which changes and accelerates so quickly. So these shows are gonna feel like, I wanna call it a time party.” “I just hope I don’t have a nervous breakdown from some combi...
