Fight Club director David Fincher has responded to the film’s controversially changed ending on Tencent Video, the Chinese video streaming website owned by Tencent. Warner Bros. Animation and New Line‘s forthcoming anime film, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is slated to premiere in theaters on April 12, 2024. The movie, which was first announced in June of last year, takes place hundreds of years prior to Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and centers on the Helm’s Deep fortress. Additionally, the anime will chronicle the war-filled reign of Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan. Kenji Kamiyama, who directed Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, will helm the upcoming film, based on a script written by Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou.
