Third Eye Blind Announce 2022 Tour with Taking Back Sunday

Third Eye Blind are celebrating their 25th year as a band in style by going on a tour with fellow alt rock veterans Taking Back Sunday. Called “Summer Gods: 25 Years in the Blind,” the summer US trek will also feature Aussie rockers Hockey Dad as openers. Kicking off on June 22nd in Troutdale, Oregon, the joint tour will feature stops in cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, and Las Vegas before wrapping up on August 13th in Irvine, California. Vince Staples Shares Punchy New Single “Magic”: Stream

Less than a year after sharing his self-titled fourth album, Vince Staples has another full-length project on the way. As a preview, the rapper has dropped “Magic,” the first single from the forthcoming Ramona Park Broke My Heart.  With a bouncy pop-rap beat courtesy of Mustard, “Magic” is an instant earworm with a sunny exterior, although its subject matter has a darker connotation. The track sees Staples reminisce on his working-class upbringing in North Long Beach, California. “I’d never get to pull up in a Benz with my locs,” he quips. Dehd have announced a new album. Their third full-length is titled Blue Skies and it’s due out May 27 via Fat Possum. Dehd have also released the lead single “Bad Love” alongside a music video co-directed by vocalist Emily Kempf and Kevin Veselka. Vince Staples and Mustard have shared their new collaborative track “Magic.” It’s produced by Lewis Hughes, Mustard, Nick “Unknown Nick” Audino, and My Best Friend Jacob. King Louie Bankston, Louisiana Garage Rock Mainstay of the Exploding Hearts, Dies at 49

King Louie Bankston, the prolific rock’n’roll artist who was a member of the Exploding Hearts, died on Sunday night (February 13). His mother confirmed the news to Pitchfork. Bankston recorded with multiple bands and was an institution in the Memphis and New Orleans punk scenes. His bands included the Royal Pendletons, Persuaders, Missing Monuments, and the group Bad Times with Jay Reatard and Eric Oblivian. He was 49 years old. Bankston grew up and lived most of his life just outside of New Orleans in Harahan, Louisiana. His family ran a hardware store in town, and when young Louie became interested in skateboarding as a middle schooler, the business expanded to become a skate shop.
