Haunted Summer unveiled a cover of Daniel Johnston’s “You Put My Love Out The Door” and released its accompanying video. [embedded content][embedded content] The track is off the band’s forthcoming Whole, which is slated for release in June via Rain Phoenix’s label, LaunchLeft. Haunted Summer is comprised of husband-and-wife songwriting duo Bridgette Eliza Moody and John Seasons. Whole will be the couple’s first long-play album since their 2017 sophomore release. The “You Put My Love Out The Door” video was directed by Geoff Ryan and was filmed oceanside in Point Arena, California, which happens to be the furthest point west in the lower 48 states. “We wanted it to feel like you were in another world,” Seasons said. “We were truly blessed with the weather playing a starring ...
Happy 30th birthday to Wayne’s World, which was released on this day in 1992. In celebration, we’re dusting off a few oldie but goodie articles; you can check them all out here. Party on! Wayne’s World is one of the most quotable films of all time. For every “Schwing!”, there are at least half a dozen “We’re not worthy!”s right behind it, and if you’re a true fan, you can probably recite Alice Cooper’s entire Mill-e-wah-que monologue from memory. Unbeknownst to many of us, a handful of the film’s quotes have become a part of our own everyday life — colloquialisms, if you will. They’re kinda like a new pair of underwear: At first, they’re constrictive, but after a while they become a part of you. Advertisement Related Video With Mike Myers and Dana Carvey‘s iconic b...
Whenever Pete Davidson is done with SNL, he should consider going into real estate because he’s living rent free in the head of a multi-billionaire. Throughout much of the weekend, Kanye West shared upwards of 50 Instagram posts about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend. Among other things, West mocked Davidson’s tattoos, accused him of sleeping with Hillary Clinton, alleged the unfounded rumor that Davidson sent intimate photos of himself and Ariana Grande to Grande’s ex Mac Miller, took a swipe at Davidson’s close friend Machine Gun Kelly, and offered his SNL castmate Michael Che double his salary to leave the show. West also shared a series of fan-made memes, including one spoofing Captain America: Civil War, with West, Drake, and Julia Fox on one side, and Davidson, Kardashian, ...
A good Valentine’s Day gift should be something rare and personal, so consider this the greatest V-Day present ever: Godspeed! You Black Emperor have finally reissued their “lost” debut album, All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling. For years, 1994’s All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling was something akin to a myth. The effort was created almost entirely by Efrim Menuck under the name God Speed You Black Emperor! (note the different spelling and punctuation). According to the band, only 33 copies of the album existed on cassette, and even almost 30 years later, no confirmed tapes have turned up. Apparent leaks appeared online in 2013 and again earlier this month, but now GS!YBE has given the record an official release. Advertisement Related Video Shared via Bandcamp, ALFot...

Joe Rogan was recently offered a deal to bring his popular, but controversial podcast to Rumble, a right-winged video platform startup. In a recent stand-up performance in Austin, Texas, Rogan confirmed that he would not be moving his podcast over to Runble. Rogan is still currently tied to his exclusive multiyear Spotify deal worth more than $100 million USD. The Hollywood Reporter reported on Rogan’s response, “No, Spotify has hung in with me, inexplicably. Let’s see what happens.” Rumble’s initial offer included an open appeal to Rogan to move his podcast to Rumbler for $100 million USD over the course of four years. Its CEO Chris Pavlovski...
Pokémon and Daniel Arsham have put together a five-series art exhibition titled “A Ripple in Time,” currently taking place at galleries across Japan. Arsham’s crystal erosion Pokémon sculptures are scattered throughout the city, featuring Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Charmander, and more. As Celebi leads them into a mysterious cave, the...

A cover version of JUDAS PRIEST‘s “Breaking The Law” was featured in a new Super Bowl LVI commercial from Liquid Death, a water company that packages its product in a can instead of plastic bottles. The commercial shows a bunch of grade school-aged children hanging out and drinking Liquid Death in a party-like atmosphere. Then, a pregnant woman drinks it. After purposely not showing what Liquid Death exactly is, making it seem that the kids and the pregnant woman may be getting drunk, the ad finishes by saying, “Don’t be scared. It’s just water.” Liquid Death is reportedly the No. 1 water brand on Instagram and TikTok, as well as the No. 7 among all beverage brands. As for the reason why, Andy Pearson, vice-president of creative at Liquid Death, sa...
