Wiener dogs: life is short, and so are their legs. A creator named Grace Park, who owns eight dachshunds, recently threw the world’s cutest rave. Adorned with holographic smiley stickers and glowsticks, the wiener dogs paraded into a trunk and went buck wild to the night’s mainstage performance: a car wash. Soundtracked by Darude’s inescapable trance anthem “Sandstorm,” the first rave for Meatball and the gang seemed like the coolest function so far in 2022. And after the most paw-some party in the scene, one important question remains: How do we get on the guestlist for round two? Check out the puppy party below. On Thursday, February 3rd at around 1:30AM, New York nightclub Nowadays hosted an event by black beyond, which featured an all-Black lineup. After attendees reportedly began coughing, excessively sneezing, and complaining of a burning sensation in their throats, the event abruptly ended. “At first, people were trickling out to the back patio,” Lamb, one of the night’s performers, told Resident Advisor. “I thought they were just getting some air or were part of a really big group who came together and were planning to leave. Then you could see a bit of commotion stirring–people were asking each other if they’d begun coughing and sneezing too. When the consensus was ‘yeah,’ almost everybody moved outside.” When the “mace-like&...

Good news for the “Make Kanye 2006 Again” camp: If Donda wasn’t really your thing, Late Orchestration, Kanye West’s classic 2006 live album, has quietly been uploaded to Apple Music and TIDAL. West recorded Late Orchestration — which is comprised of songs from his first two albums, The College Dropout and Late Registration — at the famous Abbey Road Studios before an audience of 300. In addition to guest appearances from John Legend, Lupe Fiasco, GLC, and Consequence (no relation), West was backed by a 17-piece, all-woman orchestra in a trailblazing blend of hip-hop and classical music. While the album has been available to stream in international markets for quite a while, it’s only now hit American streaming platforms. No word on if Ye will add the record to Spotify, though. Listen to La...

Variety reports that Snoop Dogg’s ownership of the Death Row brand will also likely extend to some of its music rights. The rapper addressed the deal in a statement, saying: “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me. I would like to pe...
Choking on your own vomit isn’t a way that anyone wants to die. Rumor has it that this was the fate of Jim Morrison of the Doors one night in Paris back in 1970. Nor is dying from acute liver failure in a New York hospital as Billie Holiday did in 1940 considered desirable, or passing in a dingy bathroom from alcohol poisoning as Amy Winehouse did in 2011. The most beautiful rose reduced to its thorns, rotting through the years within the stem itself. Poison poured into the throat by the desire for silence. If we are not equipped with an understanding of ourselves or a toolbox of techniques we can utilize in times of mental health challenges, alcohol is something known to be effective. Alcohol doesn’t have much of a learning curve to bring immediate results. Society generally accepts any l...
PAINTED SHIELD has returned with a music video for its new song “Dead Man’s Dream”, the first single from its upcoming sophomore album. The group, which features PEARL JAM guitarist Stone Gossard, acclaimed songwriter Mason Jennings, Matt Chamberlain and Seattle soul prodigy Brittany Davis, will release “Painted Shield 2” on April 22 via Loosegroove Records. “This one started as a classic Stone Gossard riff,” says Jennings of “Dead Man’s Dream”. “Matt and Brit ripped into it with a vengeance. The lyrics were originally from a folk song I had been working on for a few years. I wondered how it would work to lay the folk lyrics against that heavy rock bed. Felt good. Then we all sang in the choruses and channeled our love for V...
