Korn to Stream Intimate Requiem Album Release Show from a Church
Korn have announced they will livestream an intimate Requiem release show from the Hollywood United Methodist Church in Los Angeles. The band is calling the event “Requiem Mass.” Only 300 fans will be able to attend the “funeral” concert, which will see Korn “honoring the souls that have passed during these unprecedented times.” The performance will be directed by Richard Gibbs, who previously worked with Korn’s Jonathan Davis on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. The concert and livestream are set for Thursday (February 3rd) at 8 p.m. PT, right before the Friday release of the album. It’s officially time to talk about Bruno. The Encanto song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has risen to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, unseating Adele’s “Easy on Me” after the latter spent 10 weeks atop the chart. According to Billboard, “Bruno” is only the second No. 1 from a Disney animated film and follows Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle’s iconic Aladdin theme “A Whole New World,” which topped the chart in 1993. Hargus “Pig” Robbins, who made an indelible imprint on Nashville as the piano player for the city’s original “A Team” ensemble of session musicians, has died. He was 84. Robbins’ child shared the news on Facebook over the weekend, writing that the musician had experienced numerous health troubles in recent months. Robbins appeared on thousands of recordings throughout his life, lending his talents to some of the biggest names in country music, among them Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson. The Witcher‘s GWENT will receive a new, standalone, single-player game that will launch later this year, according to a new report from IGN. The game, which is codenamed Project Golden Nekker, is currently being developed by CD Projekt Red‘s GWENT team. The gameplay will not require users to own any other editions of GWENT in order to engage in the full single-player experience. GWENT first appeared as a minigame in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt before turning into a standalone multiplayer title in 2016.
