NEW FOUND GLORY’s CHAD GILBERT: ‘I Am Officially Cancer Free’

Guitarist Chad Gilbert of the long-running pop-punk band NEW FOUND GLORY says that he is “cancer free”, less than two months after he was diagnosed with pheochromocytoma, a rare type of tumor that develops in the adrenal glands, small glands on the top of the kidneys. A week after his diagnosis, the 40-year-old musician underwent successful surgery to remove the tumor and has since credited his wife and the hospital staff with saving his life. Earlier today, Gilbert, who co-founded NEW FOUND GLORY in 1997, took to his Instagram to write: “Half a liver, a gallbladder, & one adrenal gland later, I am officially cancer free. All my tests and scans came back clear! I know there’s the chance of it coming back later but I feel so good knowing what was in me is gone an...

COREY TAYLOR To MACHINE GUN KELLY: You Don’t Get To ‘Run Your Mouth About Bands That Have Been Doing This For 20 Years’

SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor has blasted Machine Gun Kelly, saying the rapper-turned-rocker doesn’t get to “run [his] mouth about bands that have been doing this for 20 years.” The war of words started last September when Machine Gun Kelly and SLIPKNOT performed at Riot Fest in Chicago. “You wanna know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing?” Kelly — real name Colson Baker — said during his performance, according to a video shot by a fan. “Being 50 years old wearing a fucking weird mask on a fucking stage, talking shit. “Let me see who chose to be here instead of with all the old weird dudes with masks,” MGK added. After Machine Gun Kelly‘s comments made the rounds, he tweeted “very odd that when an artist talks sh...

Chris Martin Confirms Coldplay Will Release Three More Albums Before Retiring

Last December, Chris Martin announced that Coldplay will stop making music after 2025, seemingly signaling the British band’s retirement. Now, the band frontman has confirmed that between now and 2025, the band will be releasing three more albums, with one being a musical. In a recent interview with NME Martin claimed that the band will stop recording new music after their 12th album. The band had only released their ninth studio album Music Of The Spheres back in October 2021. Martin said, “We’re going to make 12 albums. Because it’s a lot to pour everything into making them. I love it and it’s amazing, but it’s very intense too. I feel like because I know that challenge is finite, making this music doesn’t feel difficult, it feels like, ‘This is what we’re supposed to be doing.’” Martin ...

Wearing a Flash ring, the DC superhero actor does not explain what prompted the video, and their rep could not be immediately reached for comment. A connection between the town, identified by Miller as Beulaville, and the KKK was not immediately apparent. Says Miller in the video: “Look, if y’all want to die, I suggest just killing yourselves with your own guns. OK? Otherwise, keep doing exactly what you’re doing right now — and you know what I am talking about — then, you know, we’ll do it for you, if that’s really what you want. Talk to you soon, OK. Bye.” Along with the video, Miller wrote in the caption, “Please disseminate (gro...

Travis Scott Fans Reportedly Faked Over 60,000 Signatures for Coachella Petition After Being Removed From Lineup

Change.org has recently removed a fan-made petition that was meant to campaign for Travis Scott‘s return to Coachella following the Astroworld incident that left many dead and injured. The decision to remove Scott was in response to immense backlash from fans and the industry. While this is the case, a petition to get Scott back to the festival was reportedly created earlier this week following the announcement that Scott has been removed from the Coachella 2022 lineup. The petition, which was set on Change.org amassed over 70,000 signatures in just three days. However, overnight, the numbers dropped from 70,000 to less than 5,000. According to reports, Change.org has now removed the petition after its engineers detected “fraudulent activity.” The added, “Our team identified patterns of fr...

Song of the Week: Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama Aren’t Going to “Beg For You”

Song of the Week breaks down and talks about the song we just can’t get out of our head each week. Find these songs and more on our Spotify Top Songs playlist. For our favorite new songs from emerging artists, check out our Spotify New Sounds playlist. This week, Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama put their pop powers together in their first collaboration after years of friendship. There’s a strong chance Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama have dropped the first big bop of 2022. Maybe they were also feeling the void in explosive dance hall tracks — how long it’s been since we had the cathartic joy of “Rain On Me” — and came to the rescue. “Beg For You” is fine-tuned, almost to a fault (the song is barely over two and a half minutes) but it’s a worthy collaboration between two artists who know what pop...

Neil Young’s Battle with Polio May Have Colored His Stand Against COVID Misinformation

Neil Young has taken a stand against Spotify and Joe Rogan over COVID-19 falsehoods, following through on his ultimatum to leave the streaming giant if it continued to platform The Joe Rogan Experience. This will come as no surprise to longtime fans; Young has long been a proponent of vaccination, going back to his battle with polio when he was about five years old. According to his 2012 memoir Waging Heavy Peace, the “Harvest Moon” singer was diagnosed with polio in 1951 and spent time in Toronto’s Sick Children’s Hospital as he battled the life-threatening disease. He ultimately recovered, though the disease left him with a slight limp. The polio vaccine was first widely disseminated in 1955, and Young was one of the beneficiaries. As he recently wrote on his website,...

Grimes Shows Off “Post-Human” Chest Tattoo

Grimes is continuing her quest to become “post-human,” which in this case means covering herself in white lines. The pop provocateur shared two images of her new chest tattoo on Instagram. Stylistically, it’s a continuation of the back tat she received last year, which she referred to as “beautiful alien scars.” This time, she wrote, “The long slow effort to have a full alien body. gna be totally covered in white ink… post-human.” Considering the paleness of the canvas, you may have to squint to make out the ink. But the tattoo is recent enough that the places touched by the needle are still puffy and red, which makes it easier to trace the lines curving underneath her breasts and coming to a point on her sternum. Check out the new ink below. Advertisement Related Video Earlier this week G...

Joni Mitchell Removes Music from Spotify: “I Stand in Solidarity with Neil Young”

Joni Mitchell has followed Neil Young’s lead and removed her music from Spotify. “I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify,” Mitchell said in a brief note posted to her website on Friday. “Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue.” On Wednesday, at Young’s request, Spotify removed his music from its catalog. Days earlier, the singer-songwriter issued an open letter to his management and record label demanding that his music be taken down from Spotify due to the streaming service’s spread of “fake information about vaccines.” Young specifically took issue with Spotify’s promotion of the Joe Rogan Experience, which has become a breeding ground for ...
