Netflix Is Set to Release 25 Korean Originals in 2022

Since the success of Netflix‘s series Squid Game and Hellbound, the streaming giant is on track to producing more Korean content. Squid Game was No. 1 in Netflix’s Top 10 to watch list across 34 different countries while its other Korean sci-fi mystery series The Silent Sea also made it to the Top 10 list for non-English content. The Hollywood Reporter reported on a quote from the streamer’s VP of content for Korean, Dong Kang, “We are excited to continue collaborating with Korean storytellers to bring the K-wave to new heights.” Upcoming projects hitting Netflix include titles such as All of Us Are Dead, which follow the storyline of zombies invading a high school, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area which is heavily inspired by the Spanish series and an action film titled Seoul Vibe...

Apple TV+ has dropped the teaser for its upcoming show WeCrashed, which follows the rise and fall of Adam Neumann’s WeWork. The forthcoming limited series sees Jared Leto as former WeWork CEO Adam Neumann and Anne Hathaway as his wife and former WeGrow CEO, Rebekah. Apple’s teaser kicks off as an exciting look at what the future of workspaces can be, but quickly transforms into the hellish nightmare that unveiled in front of the world in 2019. Crunchyroll and Adult Swim Preview Further Scenes from Upcoming ‘Shenmue the Animation’

Crunchyroll and Adult Swim have just released a full trailer to the English dubbed version of Shenmue the Animation. Set to air on Toonami, the animated version takes Yu Suzuki’s story — which debuted in 1999 on the Sega Dreamcast — and adapts it for home viewing animated format for 13 episodes. This full trailer gives fans a look at Ryo Hazuki, Land Di, and even Chai. While the trailer only shows the Yokosuka portion of the game (Shenmue I) the credits indicate that characters Ren of Heavens, Joy, and Dou Niu will be featured, meaning that the Hong Kong portion of the story (Shenmue II) will also be covered.
