Apple TV+ has now released the first official trailer for Severance, its upcoming sci-fi thriller executive produced by Ben Stiller and casting Parks and Recreation veteran Adam Scott. Almost reminiscent of an episode of Black Mirror, Severance follows Scott’s character Mark, an office worker who elects to undergo a surgery that splits his memories between work and personal life. While things seemingly go smoothly following his procedure, one of his closest colleagues suddenly go missing, kicking off a series of events that pushes Mark to question both his work and personal identity. Willem Dafoe has expressed interest in portraying a “Joker imposter” character alongside Joker star Joaquin Phoenix. In a recent interview with GQ UK, the Spider-Man staple revealed that he “fantasized” about the role. “There is something interesting about, like, if there was a Joker imposter. So it would be possible to have not duelling Jokers but someone that [claims] to be the Joker that isn’t the Joker,” he said. Netflix has now offered fans a first look at Vikings: Valhalla. The upcoming series is a spinoff of the Vikings series on the History Channel and follows the conquest of Leif Eriksson, possibly the most famous Viking who has ever lived. According to the show’s synopsis, more than 100 years after the events of the original show, tensions rise between the Vikings and English royalty while the former is torn internally between conflicting Christian and pagan faiths.
