Single Page of Spider-Man Comic Fetches $3.36 Million USD at Auction

A single page of a Spider-Man comic has sold for $3,360,000 USD at a recent auction. Illustrated by Mike Zeck, the page came from a 1984 issue no. 8 of Marvel Comics‘ Secret Wars, a twelve-issue limited series. The page featured the black suit that was later revealed to be the character Venom. It was sold on Thursday, the first day of a four-day auction organized by Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas. Netflix Is Making a Series About Professional Tennis With Production Underway at the Australian Open

Netflix is creating a new tennis docuseries, following professional players as they compete for major titles, Bloomberg reported. For the series, Netflix secured deals with the two governing bodies of professional tennis, the Association of Tennis Players and the Women’s Tennis Association. The streamer also inked a deal with the organizers of the four Grand Slam tournaments. Filming began at the first of those tournaments, the Australian Open, which will officially commence on Monday. The French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open will follow. The series will feature equal time for men and women, according to Bloomberg. Nick Cave has announced a forthcoming documentary titled This Much I Know to Be True depicting his creative partnership with longtime collaborator and Bad Seed Warren Ellis. The film “captures Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ exceptional creative relationship as they bring to life the songs from albums Ghosteen and Carnage,” Cave posted on his official Instagram account earlier this week. The film will be directed by Andrew Dominik, who also helmed the 2016 Nick Cave doc One More Time with Feeling. This Much I Know to Be True is scheduled for release later this year.
