BULLETBOYS Introduce New Lineup At Florida’s ROKISLAND FEST: Photos, Video

The new BULLETBOYS lineup, featuring singer Marq Torien, guitarist Ira Black (OF GODS & MONSTERS, LIZZY BORDEN, METAL CHURCH), bassist Brad Lang (Y&T, BURNING RAIN) and drummer Fred Aching (POWERFLO, BILLYBIO), made its live debut yesterday (Saturday, January 15) at RokIsland Fest in Key West, Florida. When Roddy Ricch was forced to cancel his Saturday Night Live performance after getting exposed to COVID-19, Bleachers were more than happy to jump in and take his spot as musical guest. It was Jack Antonoff‘s band’s first time playing SNL (it was hosted by West Side Story‘s Ariana DeBose), and they made their debut a memorable one. Bleachers played “How Dare You Want More” and “Chinatown” from their third album Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, which was released last year. Sony Denies Increasing PS4 Production to Deal With PlayStation 5 Shortage

Speaking to NLab, Sony Interactive Entertainment denied increasing PlayStation 4 production to deal with the current PlayStation 5 shortage. Denying recent reports, the video game and digital entertainment division of the Japanese company noted that it had no initial plans to end production of the PS4 last year. Highlighting that any further production and sales of the console were already planned in parallel with the rollout of the PS5. R.I.P. Rachel Nagy, Lead Singer of The Detroit Cobras Has Died

Rachel Nagy, the frontwoman of The Detroit Cobras, has passed away. The sad news was announced via the band’s social pages, with no cause of death given. The Detroit Cobras came out of the same ’90s garage rock revival scene as The White Stripes, The Dirtbombs, and other bands. Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez, along with guitarist Greg Cartwright, formed the core of the group, joined by a rotating cast of other musicians throughout the years. Still an active band up until Nagy’s passing, The Detroit Cobras primarily recorded and performed covers of classic and little known R&B songs from the 1960s. Ralph Emery, a longtime country music broadcaster and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, has died. He was 88. Emery’s passing was first reported on Saturday (Nov. 15) by the Tennessean, with a statement from his family that said he “passed away peacefully” that morning at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. His cause of death has not been revealed. Emery, born in 1933 in McEwen, Tennessee, had a successful career in the country music industry for more than 50 years, working in radio before shifting to television. The Voice of Holland, the original version of the global hit singing competition format, has been pulled off the air amid allegations of “very serious and shocking” sexual misconduct by members of the show’s production staff, according to a statement from its Dutch broadcaster.
