Rod Stewart’s Tour of Australia Canceled Due to COVID-19 Surge
Rod Stewart’s planned tour of Australia has been canceled due to the wave of COVID-19 cases currently spreading the country. The veteran British singer was booked to perform nine concerts throughout March and April 2022. However, due to the “ongoing surge of COVID in Australia and the reimposition of entertainment venue capacity limits in several states,” Stewart’s tour has “regrettably, been cancelled,” reads a statement issued by Live Nation, which is producing the trek. English Version of ‘Initial D’ Sequel ‘MF Ghost’ Is Now Available at Comixology
With the excitement surrounding the upcoming anime adaptation of the Initial D follow-up manga MF Ghost, Comixology has just announced the English release of the manga. Shuichi Shigeno’s work will be offered up by Kodansha Comics on Comixology where the first 10 volumes are now for sale — there will also be a release on Amazon Prime. Released in 2017, this new story sees Takumi Fujiwara’s protege Kanata Livington competing 15 years in the future where combustion engines are no longer in use. Kanata joins Fujiwara in Japan to race in a closed-course event that sees the return of combustion vehicles. Each volume sells for $10.99 USD and can be found now over at Comixology. Bizzy Banks Arrested on Drugs, Weapons, Money Laundering Charges
Bizzy Banks—a burgeoning rap star in the Brooklyn drill scene—was arrested on Friday, January 7, at his home in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was booked on weapon, drug, and money laundering charges, the Hackensack Daily Voice reports and public jail records confirm. During a SWAT team raid of the rapper’s apartment, police reportedly found a loaded gun and two pounds of marijuana. Banks is being held at the Bergen County Jail and is awaiting a court appearance. Pitchfork has reached out to Banks’ representatives for further comment.
