It’s hard to tell if Grimes’ priorities lie in music or Internet trolling these days, but she’s apparently switching them up soon. The experimental pop artist has announced she will be changing her “day job” once she releases her upcoming album, Book 1, citing the toxicity of celebrity culture. “Celebrity culture is suffocating a f,” Grimes tweeted. “I’m not quitting music, but def changing my main day job after BOOK 1. Music industry feels old and tired, reliant on archaic systems.” Separately, Grimes recently teased a collaboration with The Weeknd on her official Discord server. As Stereogum points out, the team-up makes sense, since her recent song “Player of Games” was co-produced by the R&B singer’s frequent collaborator Illangelo and featured a music video directed...
The Matrix Resurrections just debuted in theaters and on HBO Max last week, but fans have already been anticipating a sequel due to the open-ended nature of the final moments. In separate interviews, however, both Keanu Reeves and producer James McTeigue attempted to put any speculation to rest. During an appearance on the Empire podcast, Reeves said he didn’t think director Lana Wachowski was interested in doing another Matrix movie. “If I had to cast a ballot — no, not a ballot, a vote — I would say that Lana would not do another Matrix,” he said. When co-star Carrie-Anne Moss pointed out that they once thought the same thing about Resurrections, Reeves added, “I’m there if it’s there… If she invites me again, I’m in.” Advertisement Related Video McTeigue was more direct in his...
Saturday Night Live star Kyle Mooney went from ensemble cast member to the main event this year with Saturday Morning All-Star Hits! (aka S.M.A.S.H.), an animated and live-action Netflix series that sees him host and act in a wonderfully weird ode to ’80s and ’90s television. The show just premiered its first season on December 10th, but in a new interview with Consequence, Mooney revealed that he’d be open to making a Season 2 — once he’s had time to recuperate from Season 1. “Right now, I think we’re just getting over, like, I don’t want to say the stress, but just the emotions associated with like putting something out there,” Mooney said. “Dave and I made a movie a few years ago, but it’s been a while since like I’ve thrown something out there into the world. It’s such an int...
