During an appearance on a recent episode of “Stoke The Fire”, the alternative lifestyle and culture podcast hosted by musician Jesse Leach (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) and DJ/presenter Matt Stocks (“Life In The Stocks”), SEPULTURA frontman Derrick Green spoke about the departure of original drummer Igor Cavalera more than a decade and a half ago. Igor left SEPULTURA in June 2006 due to “artistic differences.” His exit from the band came five months after he announced that he was taking a break from SEPULTURA‘s touring activities to spend time with his second wife and their son (who was born in January 2006). Neil Young Unearths Previously Lost 1987 Album Summer Songs

Here’s a good Christmas surprise for you. Neil Young, in a statement published on his Neil Young Archives site, has unearthed a previously lost album. Titled Summer Songs, the album was recorded in 1987. Described by Young himself as “lost for years, but not forgotten,”  Summer Songs consists of eight songs that were recorded at Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch. The album features Young on all instruments. MASTODON drummer Brann Dailor has described the recent Astroworld concert tragedy as “a horrible situation.” Ten people, including a 9-year-old and two teenagers, died while many more were injured after a crowd surge during Travis Scott‘s performance at the Houston music festival. The rapper has since been critized for appearing to keep the show going despite pleas of help from the crowd. Although he paused a few times, many are saying this response was not enough. Zakk Wylde says that he had “no problems” with the recent “Dio Returns” tour, which featured a hologram of legendary metal singer Ronnie James Dio performing alongside a living backing group consisting, in large part, of Ronnie‘s onetime DIO bandmates. The Dio hologram was created by a company called Eyellusion and made its debut at the Wacken Open Air festival in August 2016 in front of more than 75,000 fans.
