TIM ‘RIPPER’ OWENS Says JON SCHAFFER ‘Messed Up’ And Will Be ‘Paying For It For A Long Time’

Former ICED EARTH singer Tim “Ripper” Owens says that Jon Schaffer will “pay for a long time” for his role in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Owens, who joined ICED EARTH in 2003 and stayed in the group for four years before being fired in December 2007, addressed his time with the band in a new interview with “The Loaded Radio Podcast”. Asked if he was surprised to see Schaffer involved in the Capitol riot, Owens said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I really lost contact [with him]. I didn’t leave on good terms. We weren’t friends when I left. I never burn bridges, but the way he fired me, the way he let me go, we never were on good terms. “We never talked politics when I was in the band,” he continued. ̶...

The Best Music Projects of 2021

Getting through the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic is a cause for celebration itself. As music experienced a brief resurgence with festivals and smaller tours, artists like Isaiah Rashad, J. Cole, Lorde, Tyler, the Creator and Vince Staples also made their triumphant return with their well-received albums The House Is Burning, The Off-Season, Solar Power, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, and Vince Staples. It would be a tragedy if we failed to highlight the hot debate of Kanye West‘s DONDA versus Drake‘s Certified Lover Boy, which were released within five days of each other and became the world’s talking point for months afterward. 2021 also greeted us with diverse releases from both growing and all-time favorites, including pgLang star Baby Keem with The Melodic Blue, Little...

As reported by the AP, the committee sent Live Nation a formal letter.  The committee is seeking information about the company’s role in providing security, security planning, crowd control and when the promoter first was made aware of the tragic circumstances that were unfolding at Astroworld. Eric Clapton’s Management Puts Out Statement About Winning CD Lawsuit, Losing Court of Public Opinion

Eric Clapton (also known as the Kanye West of boomers) and his management seem to have realized that winning a lawsuit against a 55-year-old German widow over selling a bootleg CD might not be the best look for ol’ Slowhand. On Wednesday, Clapton’s management released a statement that’s basically a long legalese version of the classic “Sorry not sorry” and somehow seems to imply that they didn’t realize who they were suing until it’s too late. The management also absorbs the blame from Clapton, because it’s not their names in the headlines, after all. Of course, this would all be way more believable if Clapton hadn’t spent the last 20+ months ruining any goodwill he’d built up from the 20th century with his feverishly hot COVID takes and poor taste in musical partners. “Given the widesprea...

According to The Washington Post, the probe will examine Live Nation’s role in the Houston-based event, including the company’s pre-show planning and logistics, and how it responded once it became apparent that a large crowd surge had killed or injured scores of concert-goers. On Wednesday, the House Oversight and Reform Committee sent a letter to Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino seeking documents detailing Astroworld’s security and crowd control planning, and requested that Live Nation brief members of the committee by January 12th.  “Recent reports raise serious concerns about whether your company took adequate steps to ensure the...

Lionsgate announced on Wednesday (December 22nd) that John Wick: Chapter 4 has been delayed once again and shared the new release date of March 24th, 2023. Already pushed back from its announced May 2021 release due to director Chad Stahelski and Reeves’ commitments to The Matrix: Resurrections, Chapter 4 was originally slated to be filmed back-to-back with a fifth installment of the John Wick franchise, but those plans were scrapped due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
