Pom Pom Squad are a band that’s absolutely on the rise and had a great 2021 with the release of Death of a Cheerleader. Even so, when the band fired off some playful tweets expressing their admiration for Nada Surf‘s mid-’90s hit “Popular” earlier this year, no one thought they were that serious. I’m gonna recreate the video for popular by Nada Surf but I’m gonna play every character — Pom Pom Squad❣️ (@pompomsquad) March 25, 2021 But, what started off as a joke has become a reality with a terrific twist. Mia Berrin did exactly what she promised she’d do and today, you can see the fruits of her labor. If that’s not enough, Berrin enlisted none other than Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws for an appearance. The new video took place at the Bayonne High School, the same place w...

From rewriting the hard rock rulebook with his Grammy Award-winning trio HIGH ON FIRE to reverse-engineering doom metal with his genre-defining trio SLEEP, Matt Pike has channeled his natural talents and chiseled a steely path straight to the heart of modern-day metal’s molten core. On February 18, Pike will release his debut solo LP, “Pike Vs. The Automaton”, via MNRK Heavy. Born out of the challenges brought on by a worldwide pandemic, birthed under hellish red-orange skies bred from rampaging west coast wildfires, and built amidst the yearlong political riots and rallies in Portland, Oregon, Pike‘s solo debut, “Pike Vs. The Automaton”, is both a musical and emotional release. The record was written by Pike with drummer Jon Reid, features contributions...

During an appearance earlier today (Tuesday, December 14) on the “Holmberg’s Morning Sickness” show on Arizona’s 98KUPD radio station, ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach addressed criticism from his former bandmates that he was difficult to work with during his time with the group. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “They would say to me, if I didn’t like one of their songs, they’d say, ‘You’re hard to work with.'” Pressed about whether he was in fact hard to work with, Sebastian said: “You wanna go listen to the records without me, and then listen to the records with me. Why don’t you, the consumer, go and put the headphones on… Are you hard to work with? Do you like ’18 And Life’. ‘I love ...

Billie Eilish’s song “Male Fantasy” opens with the pop star trying to “Distract myself with pornography,” though the footage is so disturbing that the verse ends with her declaring, “I’m going back to therapy.” Those lyrics are based in her real experiences, she recently revealed on The Howard Stern Show, noting that she “started watching porn when I was like 11,” which she said, “Destroyed my brain.” “As a woman, I think porn is a disgrace,” she told Stern. “I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest.” She said she was drawn to X-rated material in order to feel like “one of the guys.” Eilish remembered looking at a lot of “abusive” videos, which she believes contributed to her recurring issues with sleep paralysis and night terrors. “I think it really destroyed my brain and I f...
