Dillon Francis and T-Pain Have Another Collab In the Works

It looks like lightning is going to strike twice with D-Pain. Dillon Francis has announced he’s working with T-Pain again after the two released “Catchy Song” back in 2019. This time around, it seems like the two have teamed up for a more traditional electronic collaboration as opposed to the bubblegum “Catchy Song,” which was featured in the children’s movie The Lego Movie 2 back in 2019. And from Francis’ reaction last week, the track is shaping up to be a big one: Back in September T-Pain shared that he was actively seeking collaborators in EDM, house, and techno, tweeting that he “can lead us to musical greatness.” Just 24 hours prior he appeared onstage with Francis in Las Vegas and performed a number ...

Billie Eilish Copes With Heartbreak In New ‘Male Fantasy’ Video

Directed and edited by Eilish herself, the video is an all-too-exact portrayal of what someone is up to after a heartbreak—sitting on the bathroom floor, eating alone, and uncomfortably rolling around in bed. The video comes ahead of the Grammy-winning artist’s appearance on Saturday Night Live, where she will host and perform on the show’s second-to-last episode of the year on December 11. It will be her first time to host and second time performing on the famed New York City-based comedy series. Happier Than Ever received seven Grammy nods this year, making Eilish the youngest artist to be nominated twice in major categories–Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance—in Grammy history. Her video for the...

2021 Artist of the Year Lil Nas X Is the Star We’ve Been Waiting For

Our 2021 Annual Report kicks off with the announcement as Lil Nas X as our Artist of the Year. As the year winds down, stay tuned for more awards, lists, and articles about the best music, film, and TV of 2021. You can find it all in one place here. In the 2017 film Call Me By Your Name, two lovers (Timothée Chalamet’s Elio and Armie Hammer’s Oliver) dance around a pivotal question: “Is it better to speak or to die?” It’s a question that lingers in Elio’s head in particular as he grapples with his sexuality, his acceptance of his blossoming affair with Oliver, and eventual heartbreak. Though Lil Nas X has said his song “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” is more personal than directly linked to the Academy Award-winning film or book of the same name, the connection to a queer coming of age lo...

Prince William has revealed that he listens to AC/DC to get pumped up for royal engagements at the start of the week. The 39-year-old member of the British royal family offered some insight on his listening habits for the Christmas episode of Apple Fitness+’s “Time to Walk” series. “There’s nothing better than, on a Monday morning, when you’re a bit bleary-eyed after the weekend and trying to get yourself back into the grind of the week, listening to AC/DC, ‘Thunderstruck,’” the prince said [via Blabbermouth]. Top 50 Songs of 2021

The 2021 edition of our Annual Report continues with our Top 50 Songs of 2021 list. As the year winds down, stay tuned for more awards, lists, and articles about the best music, film, and TV of 2021. You can find it all in one place here. While 2020 felt like the year that didn’t happen, 2021 has felt like the year that just… kinda did. As the calendar pages flipped by, we cautiously began searching for a semblance of a familiar life, culminating in a summer-fall explosion as festivals returned and venues reopened. But for so many reasons, we were always looking over our shoulders, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Even as the world proved ever stubborn, we were desperate to put the worst behind us. The term “post-pandemic” entered the lexicon, a fallacy we were all fully aware of as we ...

In Orange County, Programme Skate & Sound Provides an Authentic Punk Rock DIY Venue

Every so often — a few nights a week when things are going smoothly — Chris Gronowski and his staff clear out the entire center of Programme Skate & Sound’s main room. T-shirt stands are moved to the back. Skateboarding accessories are pushed to the side. Cases of vinyl LPs, CDs and cassette tapes are tucked away into corners. In a matter of minutes, the space fills with crowds swirling like the eye of a hurricane, nearly 100 twisted bodies of both fans and artists flying through the air. Hardcore dancing and mosh pits ensue, all with the understanding that no damage is to be done to the venue or its merchandise — a mutually beneficial policy strictly enforced by the very teenagers and young adults who pack into Programme on a regular basis. After the Fullerton skate shop and record st...

Bhatia was the first fan to ever receive an official NBA Championship ring and was also the first fan to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Just before the CBC’s release, it was announced that actor Kal Penn, who’s best known for his role in Harold & Kumar, will be producing and starring in Stampede Ventures’ new biopic dubbed Superfan, yet another commemorative film starring Bhatia. Bhatia first immigrated to Canada to escape the anti-Sikh riots in Delhi back in 1984. Though trained as an engineer, he struggled to find employment and started off as a car salesman before working his way up to take over the dealership. Since 1995, the Superfan atten...

Joining Leto on the cast will be Tyrese Gibson, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, and most significantly Michael Keaton, who will reprise his role as the Vulture in the MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Morbius will hit th...
