EVERY TIME I DIE frontman Keith Buckley has accused his bandmates of secretly plotting to replace him. Earlier today, EVERY TIME I DIE announced that it will play the last three concerts of its current tour without Buckley, explaining that the singer was taking time off from the road to “rest and prepare” for the band’s upcoming holiday shows, the annual events dubbed “‘TID The Season”. Michael Sweet of openly Christian rockers STRYPER says that he doesn’t care if he loses social media followers over his comments on abortion rights, explaining that “it’s not about following me, it’s about following Christ.” On Thursday (December 2), Sweet, who has fronted STRYPER for nearly four decades, shared a video of protesters allegedly taking abortion pills (mifepristone) near the U.S. Supreme Court building to protest to a court challenge that could reverse Roe vs. Wade. None of the protesters were pregnant, said Amelia Bonow, co-founder of the abortion rights group Shout Your Abortion, who orchestrated the demonstration. In an accompanying message, Michael wrote: “When women are shamelessly and proudly taking ‘abortion pills’ on vid...

What do you do when it’s December and you’ve made one of the best albums of the year? If you’re Wild Pink‘s John Ross, you don’t rest on your laurels; you keep the bangers coming. To close out 2021, the ascendent poet laureate of heartland indietronica has unveiled a nine-minute ode to his home state; much like this year’s excellent A Billion Little Lights LP, “Florida” sighs and shivers in unexpected ways, folding eerie vocalizations into simply breathtaking soundscapes. “Florida is a rewarding place if you spend the time finding its charm,” Ross said in a statement. I agree. I’ll be spending the holidays there for the second year in a row with my new family, and while the rampant horrors of the Sunshine State are easy to knock, there will i...

2021 is almost over, but with a tandem as prolific as Rich DietZ, every day is curtain time. This year, the promising house music duo have released new music with the furious pace of the Energizer Bunny. And despite the death knell of December, it seems there’s no end in sight after they released yet another signature track. This time around, Rich DietZ have turned the clock back to 2006 to rework Cassie’s steamy R&B hit “Me & You.” The remix is anthemic in nature, dialing up the BPM of the original and transforming it from a bedroom baby-maker to a certified club jam. Rich DietZ were shrewd in their decision to keep the song’s distinctive keys intact, a move that pays homage to Cassie. While the remix is certainly a showcase of Ri...
