‘Chucky’ Series Renewed for Season 2
With the first season’s finale airing later today, the popular television horror series Chucky has just been renewed for a second season. While not much is known about what season two will entail, we do know that it’s slated to release sometime in 2022, though it’s unclear if it’ll remain on Syfy and USA Network. “We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on a second season of puppet mayhem with Chucky,” said executive producer Don Mancini. “Many thanks to our partners at USA, Syfy and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing Chucky to the small screen, bigger than ever. Twitter User Spots Potential Tobey Maguire Spider-Man Costume in ‘No Way Home’ Promo Packaging
A Twitter user by the name of Dominic Kravitz has just revealed what could be further evidence that indicates that Tobey Maguire‘s Spider-Man is appearing in No Way Home. Sent with his BarkBox subscription service, the holiday-themed package came with one Spider-Man: No Way Home promo flyer which, when looked at closely, contained a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man costume in black and white. This could either be a QC issue or a pretty cool Easter egg, but either way, with Dr. Otto Octavius, Green Goblin, and Sandman all making a return, fans will most likely be disappointed if Maguire does not make an appearance — especially after all the secrecy surrounding the Spidey multiverse. Director Sam Hargrave Confirms ‘Extraction 2’ Has Begun Filming in Prague
Director Sam Hargrave has given fans a glimpse of the beginning of filming for Netflix‘s Extraction 2. According to his Instagram post, the second installment of Extraction 2 has just started filming in Prague. Hargrave is seen walking through the snowy streets of the city and is heard saying he is leaving a “train location.” Hargrave comments on the city as the setting saying it “looks pretty great on camera,” even teasing fans that Chris Hemsworth‘s character Tyler Rake will be facing the challenge of lower temperatures in his next expedition. Merriam-Webster has officially uneiled its 2021 Word of the Year: “Vaccine.” The word was selected based on the lookup volume, the increase in interest in “Vaccine” as the year progressed and yearly increases in searches. ”Vaccine lookups increased 600%, and the story is about much more than medicine,” Peter Sokolowski, Merriam-Webster’s Editor at Large, said in a statement. “It was at the center of debates about personal choice, political affiliation, professional regulations, school safety, healthcare inequity, and so much more.
