Virgil Abloh Passes Away From Rare Cancer at 41

Louis Vuitton, where Abloh served as Artistic Director of Menswear, and Off-White, the brand he founded in 2012, announced his death. Abloh was reportedly battling cancer for several years before passing on Sunday, November 28. “We are all shocked after this terrible news. Fashion designer Virgil Abloh has died following a private two-year battle with cancer. He was 41. According to a statement released by Abloh’s family, he “valiantly battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. Guitarist Oscar Dronjak of Swedish metallers HAMMERFALL has confirmed that the band has completed work on a new studio album, to be released in 2022. The music for the disc was once again recorded with Fredrik Nordström of Studio Fredman at Castle Black Studios, while the vocals were laid down with Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark.
