Tuesday (Nov.23), the University of Kentucky announced it was partnering with XSET Co-Owner and Esports host Erin Ashley Simon to launch the Erin Ashley Simon Esports Internship Fund. Netflix’s ‘Hellbound’ Surpasses ‘Squid Game’ and Becomes No. 1 Most Watched Within 24 Hours

Squid Game has officially been dethroned by the newly released series Hellbound on Netflix. In just 24 hours, the Netflix original jumped to the first position in world rankings — a feat that took Squid Game eight days to accomplish. While Hellbound sits at the No.1 position, setting a new record for a Korean series, Squid Game is still on the Top 5 list at third place. Directed by Train to Busan‘s Yeon Sang-ho, Hellbound involves a supernatural phenomenon in which the people of an alternate reality of Earth are subject to the mercy of messengers that suddenly materialize to deliver prophesies and to drag humans to Hell. Amazon Studios Is Reportedly Close to Making ‘Mass Effect’ Into a TV Show

Amazon Studios is reportedly “nearing a deal to develop a series” based on Mass Effect, the best-selling Electronic Arts video game franchise, according to Deadline. Electronic Arts and BioWare have not officially confirmed a series; however, the companies have previously indicated that a TV project will eventually go into production. Canadian electronic producer Fairlane has been musical for most of his life.  At a very young age, his parents had him enrolled in piano classes, where he first got a taste of music and performing. Unfortunately, it was a bitter memory, as Fairlane recalls making a minor mistake during a piano recital when he was 10 years old. “I vowed to never perform music again,” he tells EDM.com. Eventually, Fairlane got over that mishap and went on to play in a band. If you’ve had your Game Boy Advance for two decades now and you’ve exhausted all the games you can play, YouTube hacker Rodrigo Alfonso is here to help you breathe new life into the classic handheld. As seen in a series of videos Alfonso has uploaded, the tinkerer managed to get original PlayStation games to run on the little device using a custom cartridge that carries a Raspberry Pi 3 mini-computer working in tandem with the RetroPie emulator. Essentially, the game runs on a separate system that’s connected to the Game Boy and streams both your control inputs as well as the video via the handheld’s Link Port which was previously used for local multiplayer connections.
