Ezra Blount, the nine-year-old Astroworld attendee who was put in a medically-induced coma last week, has died. Blount’s family confirmed the news of death with Houston’s ABC affiliate KTRK first to report. Blount is the youngest person to die following the concert disaster that left eight dead and hundreds injured. Ezra was on his father Treston Blount’s shoulders when the deadly crowd surge started at the beginning of Travis Scott’s set at 9 pm., and the two became trapped. Blount was trampled and suffered injuries to his kidney, lung and liver. “The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son,” the family’s attorney, Ben Crump, said in a statement. “This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a...
In his first Drink Champs interview, Kanye West revealed that Beanie Sigel gave the rapper his “YEEZY” nickname and that he owed him millions for coming up with the billion-dollar brand name. While Sigel responded to Ye in a recent club appearance, stating that the DONDA artist would technically owe him around $50 million USD and 5% of YEEZY stock, Sigel recently said in an interview that there is no bad blood between them, despite the lack of compensation. Sigel said, “As far as his business mind and where he took it — you know, Kanye work hard for his. Kanye don’t owe me nothing.” He also added that Sigel would not ask for a specific price because he understood that West was able to build the empire on his own from the ground up. Dance music producer ALWZ SNNY is back with one of his strongest releases to date, a progressive house anthem called “I’ll Be Alive.” The track is uplifting in nature, featuring a poignant topline and ALWZ SNNY’s typical bubbly sound design. The lyrics invite listeners to embrace life and squeeze all the juice they can out of it—a theme we can all relate to after the isolation of the pandemic: “They say I’m a drifter ’cause I’m always on another road, maybe all the answers are a million miles away from home.” ALWZ SNNY expands on the storyline in a brilliant music video, directed by JDFilms. The song’s wanderlust motif is fleshed out by way of a real-world game of Monopoly, where the game’s pieces—like the banker a...
