The song became an instant fan favorite when the album was released back in 2012 — its flashbacks of a romantic trip upstate with a lost love crystallized in amber and wrapped in a long-lost scarf, tucked away in a drawer for safekeeping. But in the months and years following the album’s release, whispered rumors began circulating within the annals of...
SLAYER guitarist Kerry King spoke to Metal Hammer magazine about METALLICA‘s 40th anniversary and the relationship between the two bands, having emerged from the same early 1980s underground heavy metal scene in Southern California. Asked what his reaction was to METALLICA‘s 1991 self-titled album, also known as The Black Album, King said: “I may not have been super-stoked on it, but I never hated it the way a lot of people did. To this day, I like that record a lot. I think it’s METALLICA but I don’t think it’s thrash METALLICA. You can hear where all the influences come from, from all of their older stuff. They just super-slowed it down and made it super-heavy; they made it super-catchy. That record probably sold more than all of my records combined. [...

Fieldy announced in June that he would sit out KORN‘s recent tour in order to “heal” after “falling back” on some of his “bad habits.” “Right now he’s just taking some time to kinda figure out what makes him happy and figure out his happiness and what he wants to do with his life, I guess is the best way to put it,” Munky said. “And make sure his mental health is at its best, because if your mental health isn’t good, or you’re not clear, you’re gonna make bad choices. “I make an example,” he continue...
