Ahead of her debut on Saturday Night Live, Saweetie has dropped off a new track, titled “Get It Girl,” which arrives as part of the soundtrack for the final season of HBO‘s Insecure. The single was first teased earlier this month in the backdrop of a new Beats by Dre commercial. Fans originally thought the song would land on the vocalist’s highly-anticipated debut full-length album before discovering that it showed up on the soundtrack for the aforementioned HBO title. “I’m good in any hood but it’s love in The Bay,” the Santa Clara native sings in homage to her hometown on the track. Jack White To Return With Two New Albums in 2022
Jack White will be dropping two new full-length albums in 2022. With both albums being released via Third Man Records, Fear of the Dawn is out April 8, and Entering Heaven Alive is due on July 22. The LPs are linked through two songs that White released in October, his first solo releases after an almost four-year hiatus. Fear of the Dawn opens with “Taking Me Back,” and Entering Heaven Alive finishes with “Taking Me Back (Gently).” On the Fear of the Dawn, the rapper Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest is credited as a guest artist on the track “Hi-De-Ho.” Following 2018’s Boarding House Reach, the back-to-back albums will arrive as the fourth and five solo albums from White. Nearly a month after announcing their first record in 17 years, Tears For Fears detailed the first leg of The Tipping Point World Tour. This is the first time since 2017 that Tears For Fears will embark on a U.S. tour. So far, they have scheduled performances in over twenty cities, and Garbage is set as their opening act. The legendary British duo is kicking off the stint on May 20 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and closing (as of now) on June 25 in Wantagh, New York. NHC Releases Two New Songs
Rock’s newest super trio, NHC, is back with two new songs, “Devil That You Know” and “Lazy Eyes.” The Los Angeles rock band consists of Jane’s Addiction and former Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist Dave Navarro, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, and bassist Chris Chaney. NHC first joined forces this year, and released their first two singles in September. The songs released today precede the band’s first headlining stint (that’s already sold-out) on November 23 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. When NHC decided to band up, they quickly realized their inspirations relaying on one another. FKA twigs will be debuting a new song next week with London rapper Central Cee. Out on November 18, their single “Measure of a Man” will be included in the soundtrack for the upcoming movie The King’s Man. Joining the popular Kingsman franchise as its third installment, the spy film serves as a prequel to 2014 and 2017’s volumes and is slated to premiere on December 22. The track’s release will mark the first project out of Marv Music, a venture between Warner Music Group and Marv, a production company owned by Matthew Vaughn, the director of The King’s Man.
