Martin Garrix and U2 Reunite On the Big Screen With “Your Song Saved My Life”

Illumination Entertainment’s upcoming musical comedy Sing 2 is reuniting the most unexpected collaborators of 2021. Martin Garrix, alongside Bono and The Edge of U2 fame, briefly united an entire continent earlier this year when they joined forces on “We Are The People,” which became the official UEFA EURO tournament theme song. Now, Garrix and U2 are ready to take their efforts to the big screen with “Your Song Saved My Life.” Starring Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, and Scarlett Johansson, Sing 2 is an animated comedy that follows up its 2016 predecessor. The franchise centers around a gang of anthropomorphic animals with a passion for musical theater.  Recommended Articles Like its cast, the original film boasted a star-studded soundtrack ...

Watch Kaskade Perform From a Bird’s-Eye View of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge

Kaskade may be positioning himself as a wonder of the modern musical world.  As the lack of in-person shows persisted through 2020, Kaskade wholly embraced the idea of bringing dance music where it hasn’t gone before, and if recent events are any indication, his appetite for adventure remains alive and well.  First, he brought his show to the breathtaking Grand Canyon—one of the seven wonders of the natural world—where he performed atop a transparent, horseshoe-shaped walkway made of glass. Now, he’s checking off another box by playing at one of the seven wonders of the modern world: the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge. Kaskade went bigger than ever for this remote performance with multiple camera angles capturing the surrounding scene in immersive detail. Pe...

Listen to NERO’s Remix of Founding Member Joseph Ray’s Collaboration With Lakou Mizik, “No Rival!”

When NERO remixed NERO in 2011, they won a Grammy… just saying. While the iconic trio have been rather quiet since dropping the bombshell that they’re working on their third album a few months ago, founding member Joseph Ray has been releasing music solo. This includes his critically acclaimed collaborative album Leave the Bones with Haiti’s Lakou Mizik. For those unfamiliar with the band, Lakou Mizik was founded after the catastrophic 2010 earthquake in Haiti with a goal to “show the world that their country was much more than the sum of headlines that were being shot around the globe.” Now, Ray’s fellow members have joined in and released their own remix of one of the album’s singles, the riveting “No Rival!.” While the original ...

Nine-Year-Old Boy Injured at Astroworld Remains in Coma, Family Sues Festival

The family of a nine-year-old boy who was seriously injured at Astroworld Festival is the plaintiff in the latest lawsuit filed against Travis Scott and Live Nation. Ezra Blount was sitting on his father’s shoulders during Scott’s headlining set on Friday night when the two suddenly found themselves trapped in a crowd surge. During the chaos, Blount’s father passed out and his son fell to the ground, where he was “kicked, stepped on, and trampled, and nearly crushed to death,” according to the lawsuit. Blount sustained severe injuries to his liver, kidney, and brain, which caused him to go into cardiac arrest. Doctors put the boy into a coma to minimize brain and heart function so the swelling can go down. Advertisement Related Video Immediately following the festival, Blount’s whereabouts...

QAnon Believers, Still Waiting in Dallas, Sing “Take Me Home, Country Roads” to JFK Jr.: Watch

Last week, hundreds of QAnon followers gathered in Dallas to witness the return of John F. Kennedy Jr., who is dead. When he failed to appear at Dealey Plaza, they waited for him at The Rolling Stones’ concert that night (“Rolling Stones? Rolling away the stone!” one Q influencer said), and when he once again stood them up, some of the attendees did something remarkable: they kept waiting. A few dozen are still congregated at Dealey Plaza, occasionally forming a circle to sing the strange psalm of this faith: John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” As Steven Moncelli of Protean Magazine reported on Twitter, these true believers are replacing “West Virginia” with the words “Dealey Plaza,” to better distinguish their own needs from Mr. Denver’s. Monacelli noted that “some of them also r...

Billie Eilish is “Happier Than Ever” Singing on Sesame Street: Watch

Billie Eilish recently took a break from stadiums and festivals to sing on the more humble soundstage of Sesame Street. The artist swung by the beloved children’s show to perform a new version of her hit “Happier Than Ever” with The Count meant to help kids count to two. Watch the performance below. “When I’m counting with you, I’m happier than ever,” the singer tells the vampire in this stoop serenade. “Numbers sound so much better,” the puppet replies. Eilish also helps a shivering Burt count his sweaters, and adds up the noggins on the Two-Headed Monster. Even Elmo lends a hand. Big Bird, meanwhile, just looks on in awe. Maybe he was starstruck. Eilish is one of many stars joining the Muppets for Sesame Street’s 52nd season, debuting November 11th on HBO Max. Musicians Kacey Musgraves, ...

GLENN HUGHES Wanted To Be ‘Very Honest’ In His Autobiography: ‘There’s Nothing In The Book That’s Not Real’

Legendary bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes, who has been clean and sober for more than two decades, wrote about his path to sobriety in his autobiography, titled “Deep Purple And Beyond: Scenes From The Life Of A Rock Star”, which came out in 2011. In a new interview with Brazil’s “Lokaos Rock Show”, Hughes said that he wanted to recount his adventures and misadventures with honesty and without glossing over the darker moments of his life. “When I wrote the book, my publisher asked me is there anything I’m keeping a secret,” he said. “[And I thought] maybe I need to go deeper and tell everything. So I had to really go deeper and be very, very, very honest. So for me to tell you the truth — which there has to be the truth in everything we d...
