HipHopWired Featured Video Source: NurPhoto / Getty This collaboration between Gucci and Xbox is something we did not see coming. The two iconic brands raised video game fans’ eyebrows on Twitter after interacting with each other in a series of tweets. In one tweet that got rumors swirling about something in the pipeline, Xbox wrote, “Saying ‘GG’ at the end of every game will never go out of fashion.” Gucci’s Twitter handle responded, “we couldn’t agree more.” To add more fuel to the speculation fire, 100 Thieves CEO Matthew Haag, better known as “Nadeshot,” shared a photo of what looks to be Gucci luggage featuring the brand’s signature monogram logo with a leather tag with both Xbox and Gucci’s logo on it. Related Stories Outside of the photo, Nadeshot shared, that’s all the information ...

As spotted on Page Six the New Jersey native has finally broken her silence about her comeback via her Instagram account. “HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Revolt / Revolt Just when you thought Kanye’s Drink Champs interview gave you all you could handle, apparently there’s still more to come. Taking to Instagram to share the news, Drink Champs announced that this Thursday the second part to Ye’s Drink Champs interview will be dropping and we’re left wondering just what else is left to be heard and how long was the interview altogether. The first installment was a long (and entertaining) two and a half hours of Ye going off on any and everything. You’d think they gave us all the shocking and controversial material from that interview, but apparently there’s still more left to be revealed. What exactly? We have no idea, but after all his controversial comments in the first one best believe we’ll be tuning in....

Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Big Sean & More React To Kanye West ‘Drink Champs’ Audacity

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Kanye West set the Internet on fire after his now infamous appearance on Drink Champs. The reactions from fans were swift, and the peers he name-checked—often with at least a hint of slander (by the social media definition)—were quick to retort. Some of the MC’s that Ye dragged included Big Sean and Talib Kweli, but he made sure to big up Beanie Sigel, though. Ye clearly ain’t that far gone. Related Stories Even Jay-Z got asked what was up thanks to Ye’s dig at Just Blaze, who West called a copycat when it came to using Soul samples in his beats. We compiled a list of what everyone had to say below, for archival purposes. Does Ye’s reaction, with the OG J. Prince looking along, count? 1. Beanie Sigel is getting how much? During ...

Violent Crime Spikes In Tulum, President of Hotel Association Points Finger at Raves

Violent crime is significantly up year-over-year in Tulum—including a stark 80.5% increase in murder—and some say increased tourism from dance music enthusiasts is to blame.  Year-to-date 65 murders have occurred in the popular tourist hotspot, up from just 36 the year prior. Organized crime is believed to be responsible.  According to David Ortiz Mena, President of the Tulum Hotels Association, tourism among ravers—who were eager to avoid lockdowns in nearly countries—is playing a critical role. Ortiz Mena believes that an increase of local electronic dance music parties is creating a rise in demand for drugs, Business Insider reports. Bad actors are being drawn to the area given the increase in demand. An anecdotal increase in reported extortion attempts on ...

Metalcore Band Northlane Are Releasing a “Fully Fledged EDM And Techno” Album

Now newly independent, Sydney metalcore outfit Northlane turned to EDM when they needed inspiration the most. In a lengthy, candid statement announcing their forthcoming sixth studio album Obsidian, the band reflected on their career thus far, noting they’ve never hesitated to reinvent themselves.  Despite multiple bouts on the brink of disaster the band have derived the strength to persevere. Case in point: the lead up to the band’s 2019 album, Alien, was characterized in their words by financial instability and waning ticket sales. Paradoxically, the group found strength in crafting their most vulnerable record to date during which vocalist Marcus Bridge laid to bear some of the most troubling anecdotes of his past.  Going from that period of emotional catharsis to ...

Gaga — who posed along co-stars Adam Driver, Jared Leto and Salma Hayek on the carpet — turned heads in a royal purple pleated-chiffon floor-length gown from Gucci’s latest collection, making her the first star to be publicly seen wearing a look from the ready-to-wear line since the fashion show.
