Dionne Warwick Stopped by The Dionne Warwick Talk Show on SNL: Watch

Saturday Night Live welcomed a very special guest to The Dionne Warwick Talk Show last night: Dionne Warwick herself! The recurring sketch started out with Ego Nwodim’s version of the icon and recently crowned queen of Twitter interviewing a rotating panel of celebrity guests, including Miley Cyrus (Chloe Fineman), Jason Mraz (host Kieran Culkin), and Post Malone (Pete Davidson). Ed Sheeran, who served as the episode’s musical guest, also stopped by the show to answer some of Warwick’s most pressing questions. “Now, you did a song called ‘South of the Border.’ My question is: are you nasty?” Nwodim-as-Warwick asked, to which the singer cheekily replied, “Yeah, a little bit” with a knowing wiggle of his eyebrows. DEEP PURPLE’s IAN PAICE: ‘When RITCHIE BLACKMORE Decided To Leave The Band, That Was Pretty Traumatic’

In a brand new interview with Darren Paltrowitz, host of the “Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz”, DEEP PURPLE drummer Ian Paice was asked if there was ever a period when he and his bandmates were worried about not having another “hit” song and not being able to sustain their longevity. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I don’t think we were worried about having hits in the first place. It was a time when pop bands made singles and rock bands made albums. So long as we kept coming with albums that people seemed to like, we weren’t worried about having a Top 40 hit; if they came along, it was like a bonus. Now, the only time we got concerned was towards the end of Ritchie‘s [Blackmore, guitar] tenure with the band, as he was l...

He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I always try and write about what I see. The old writing over and over and over again about relationships, to me, is just a little bit boring. I’d rather write about pertinent issues that are occurring around us and what I see in the world. “The whole ‘black-pilled’ thing is just… I’ve been doing my own studies and research, I guess you could call it, for a long time — at least a decade. Trying to figure out how the world really operates, truly operates, who’s really in control and what thos...
