When Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad went their separate ways in the early ‘80s, only the most determined of fans held out hope for new music. That moment would come to pass in September, when ABBA dropped the two-pack of “Don’t Shut Me Down,” and “I Still Have Faith In You,” the first of which cracked the U.K. Top 10 (debuting at No. 9). Last month, the foursome released a third fresh tune, “Just A Notion,” a classic ABBA track that was penned during their heyday in the late ‘70s. All three of those numbers appear on Voyage, the followup to The Visitors, from November 1981. ABBA will support their new works with a virtual residency in 2022. ABBA Voyage will feature the Super Swedes as digital versions of their younger selves, performing ...
Scott’s Bat Boy, however, is wearing dreads, has a stud in his ear, and appears on the bogus masthead Weekly World Truths. The artwork screams “The true dystopia is here,” “When the end arrives its really the beginning,” and “Who knows what lies beneath the surface?” The tracks are said to be lifted from Dystopia, a third solo mixtape, which would be followed by Utopia, a studio album. Rumors are swirling on both releases, though cold, hard details remain unconfirmed. As previously reported, Scott’s Friday night (Nov. 5) show at Astroworld will exclusively stream on Apple Music. The festival bears the name of his third and most recent album, Astroworld, which bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2018. Stream “Escape Plan” and “Mafia” below. The song was teased by both artists earlier this week, and is rumored to be the first lifted from Malone’s forthcoming fourth album. Posty’s last LP was 2019’s Billboard 200 leader Hollywood’s Bleeding, though he has been doing the rounds on an irregular basis. In those past two years, he’s dropped a string of new numbers, including 2020’s Pokemon tie-in “Only Wanna Be with You,” and his most recent cut, “Motley Crew,” from July of this year. The Weeknd has been like Magic Johnson of late, dishing out assists left and right. The in-demand Canadian R&B artist has appeared on Swedish House Mafia’s comeback track “Moth to a Flame;” on “Hurricane” with Kanye West and Lil Baby; and “Off the Table” with Ariana Grande. Summer Walker‘s sophomore studio record Still Over It has arrived. Clocking in at just a little over an hour, the 20-track project is billed as “a chronological progression of stories” evidenced by the song titles. And don’t think you have to stay somewhere ’cause you can’t find b...

Fans can expect a first listen on November 12 as The Boss is set to release its debut single “Outlawz,” which will feature 21 Savage and Jazmine Sullivan. “This album is special to me in many different ways, as a teen they don’t see the value of maturity and growth. Grammy Award-winning artist Anderson .Paak has officially launched his new record label, APESHIT INC. In a pre-recorded press conference video, the artist announced that he wants to focus on “raw talent” and highlight artists who can play their own instruments. Paak feels as if there is currently a gap in the market for these kinds of artists and hopes that APESHIT INC. provides new-age musicians with a label that helps them flourish. In the clip, the artist can be heard describing the ethos of his record label, “I wanted to start a label that sets fire to a new generation of artists, who can play while performing. This label is going to be about passion, about feeling, about honesty. It’s about respect for the culture and art and it’s about heart.” Later in the video, Paak doubles down on...

Ahead of this weekend’s Astroworld Festival, Travis Scott has shared two new singles: “Escape Plan” and “Mafia.” It marks his first new single since 2020’s “Franchise.” Scott teased the release just a few hours earlier with a spooky Instagram post: “FUCK IT LETS START IT UP NEW MUSIC AT MIDNIGHT,” he wrote. The graphic depicts him as a monster of sorts — with menacing eyes, pointed fangs, and oversized elven ears — on the cover of a satirical tabloid magazine called Weekly World Truths. “THE TRUE DYSTOPIA IS HERE!” reads the threatening headline, while the subhead forebodes: “When the end arrives it is really beginning.” Seems pleasant enough. Scott recently took the stage at a rain-soaked Rolling Loud NYC Halloween weekend. This weekend, he’ll be back in his Houston hometown for...
