A long-awaited collaboration between Martin Garrix and Zedd may finally be on the horizon. The two dance music superstars have been toying with their fans on social media in the last few days, sharing a number of agonizingly contextless clips recorded during recent studio sessions. In an Instagram Story shared on November 2nd Garrix offered a brief glimpse into the song’s project file, which revealed a BPM of 128. Ergo, a house track is likely in the works. They went on to share another clip yesterday, revealing a preview of the song’s audio—if you can even call it a preview. Watch here: Recommended Articles Speculation first began back in December 2019, when Garrix and Zedd were in Indonesia. The latter took to social media to open the floodgates of the rumor mill with a tweet...
Learning a real instrument these days is outdated. Mictic‘s newest wearable device allows users to turn their movements and creativity into a playable “air instrument,” which can also be connected to digital audio workstations like Ableton and played like any other MIDI controller. To use the device, the user simply attaches it to their wrist like a watch. The wearable connects to a phone via Mictic’s application and its sensors measure movements to play user-selected instruments. For example, select a piano and use your hands to simulate playing the keys, and voilà—you’re Beethoven or Mozart or Stevie Wonder. Mictic will offer 15 sounds and soundscapes in a variety of musical styles and genres. Recommended Articles “We hope that people will ...
Close your eyes and picture it: you step onto the grassy, sun-kissed lawn of a Malibu winery. You lay down a colorful picnic blanket. You pour flamingo-pink rosé into delicate champagne flutes and sip with your pinky in the air. None of that happened last month at the famous Rosenthal Wine Bar and Patio, which was transformed into a taco spice-fueled rave. Tucked in a nook off the Pacific Coast Highway, the idyllic winery recently welcomed electronic music stars Zedd and Big Wild, who performed on a bespoke stage with a transparent LED panel offering a view of the ocean. Powered and brought to life by First Tube Media, the event was the latest in Grubhub’s Sound Bites, a virtual episodic concert series that attracts millions of viewers thanks to its immersive livestreams. Gal Gadot is now in talks to join Disney‘s upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White. According to a new report from Deadline, the Wonder Woman actress will be joining the film to play the infamous Evil Queen, opposite of the previously-cast Rachel Zegler’s Snow White. Other details revolving around the project remain scarce at this point, but the live-action adaptation is said to expand on the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from 1938, fleshing out both its story and its music. Marc Webb will be helming the crew as director with Marc Platt producing, while Benj Pasek and Justin Paul — most known for their work on La La Land, The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen — will be joining to write new songs and original music. According to reports, Hollywood is now developing a live-action adaptation of Shueisha‘s Weekly Shōnen Jump serialized series Gantz. Director Julius Avery of Overlord is now tied to direct the film despite no official of the project just yet. When asked about the news, original manga creator Hiroya Oku revealed that he is not part of the adaptation and was learning about it for the first time on Twitter. It is interesting to note that Oku revealed that he signed a contract for the rights to Gantz and that Arrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim was working on a script last year. Hiroya Oku’s Gantz manga originally debuted in Weekly Shōnen Jump back in 2000 and ran until 2013, spawning an anime series, video game, live-action Japanese films and a CGI movie. 昔に契約許諾はしましたが、進んでいることを知りませんでした。 — 奥 浩哉 (@...
