EARTHGANG Officially Announce New Album GHETTO GODS

EARTHGANG have officially announced their new album GHETTO GODS, out January 28th, 2022 via Dreamville/Interscope. Check out the trailer, narrated by 2 Chainz, below. The Atlanta duo’s sophomore major label studio album has been teased for quite some time. After confirming the title during an interview with The Breakfast Club back in February, our former Artist of the Month claimed they would be dropping the project on the same day as their label boss J. Cole. This left fans disappointed when GHETTO GODS didn’t surface in May alongside The Off-Season, but Olu (aka Johnny Venus) and WowGr8 (aka Doctur Dot) preached patience. “#GHETTOGODS Is some of our best work so far and we’re going to give it to you the right way,” EARTHGANG wrote on Twitter. U2’s “Your Song Saved My Life” is Possibly the Worst Song of the Year

U2 have dropped “Your Song Saved My Life,” in the same sense that one might drop a fart. Stream it below. The treacly mess is destined for the soundtrack to Sing 2, where it will be ham-fisted even by the standards of a franchise where pigs cover Taylor Swift. Bono’s lyrics imagine a deeply-moved fan gushing to a songwriter about the immense power of Bono’s that artist’s work. Aren’t they heroes, these noble songwriters? You know a raspberry, when you stick out your tongue and blow? Bono’s lyrics deliver more raspberries than a British bake-off. “Yes your song saved my life,” he warbles, with a melody that makes AM adult contemporary sound like a nonstop thrill ride. “It’s what got me to the other side/  I was broken now I’m open,  your love keeps me alive.” Advertisement Related Vide...

The Simpsons Tease “Darker and Prestigier” Crime Thriller in Trailer for “A Serious Flanders”: Watch

Stupid, sexy Flanders is in some stupid, sexy trouble in the first trailer for The Simpsons‘ upcoming two-part episode “A Serious Flanders.” Part one airs November 7th, and part two follows on November 14th. This “Simpflix” production is an “Emmy-baiting crime drama,” according to the trailer, which promises something, “Darker and prestigier than anything you’ve ever seen.” Via Variety, it came about after The Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman finally got caught up on the TV adaption of Fargo. “We wanted to do all the tricks that these cool streaming shows get to do: Flashbacks, crazy time jumps, the feeling that anyone might die,” Selman said. “It’s all the tricks of the trade, for a semi-pretentious but also very cool kind of story. We have scenes...

Eddie Montgomery on Getting Real With First Solo Country Album: ‘The Good, Bad and Ugly — And the Party on the Weekend’

“It’s my heart and soul poured out,” Montgomery tells Billboard via Zoom. “With ‘Alive and Well,’ I’m talking about my two sons and T-Roy [his nickname for Gentry]. It was opening up my soul and it kind of helped me a little bit. I ain’t going to lie about it and that’s the stuff that I tried to write about — the good, bad, and ugly, and the party on the weekend.” The title track was inspired by Montgomery transforming his garage into a gathering place during the pandemic. “They closed all the restaurants and bars down,” he says of COVID restrictions in his home state of Kentucky. “Of course, we’re bar flies. We’ve got to find that place. You can’t take that away from us… I’ve got a pretty good size garage, so I started to hang a few TVs, then a disco ball and an old dart board...

Bizarrap Recruits Anuel AA for New Music Session: Stream It Here

“The first ‘session’ back in 2018 wasn’t even planned,” he previously told Billboard. “All I wanted to do was record a local rapper and upload that to YouTube because I was a big fan of his and I wanted others to listen to him too. My plan was to record with my phone, but for some reason it didn’t work. So we scheduled the session for the following day and I thought, ‘Why not give these freestylers the production they deserve with microphones and everything?’ So that’s what I did.” Meanwhile, Anuel most recently dropped his new single, “Dictadura.” Produced by Subelo Neo and Machael, and co-written by Anuel and Mora, the head-bobbing reggaeton track will be included on the Puerto Rican artist’s third L...
