Powerhouse agent Scott Clayton has left WME and is heading over to United Talent Agency, sources tell Billboard. In June 2020, Clayton was promoted to co-head of WME’s music division along with Kirk Sommer in Los Angeles and Lucy Dickins in London when Marc Geiger and Sara Newkirk Simon left the roles. Former IN FLAMES Members Launch THE HALO EFFECT
Five former members of the Swedish metal band IN FLAMES — Jesper Strömblad (guitar), Daniel Svensson (drums), Peter Iwers (bass), Niclas Engelin (guitar) and Mikael Stanne (vocals) — have launched a new project called THE HALO EFFECT. So far, only a promotional photo of the new outfit has been released, with the promise of more information to follow soon. A founding member of IN FLAMES, Strömblad quit the band in February 2010 in order to continue receiving treatment for his alcohol addiction. Petition Launched to Stop London’s Printworks From Becoming Office Space
Londoners are banding together to save one of the city’s most beloved clubs. A petition has been launched in an attempt to stop the world-renowned Printworks from converting to office space. According to an application submitted to the City of London, the venue was intended to be a temporary event space for five years before more development could occur. That proposal was accepted in December 2016, so there is a need for an extension or permanent transformation. It’s interesting to note that many supporters have questioned why more office spaces are needed since many jobs have shifted to work-from-home models.
