During an appearance on MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn‘s “No Fuckin’ Regrets With Robb Flynn” podcast, LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe elaborated on his recent Instagram post where he urged everyone coming to see LAMB OF GOD perform to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and wear a mask. “I believe in fucking science,” Randy said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “And I have friends who are doctors and scientists and nurses, and these are people I’m going to listen to — not someone on social media, not another musician, not a talking head on CNN, Fox News, USA Today, PBS; none of this stuff. I talk to my friends who are molecular biologists, immunologists, emergency room doctors, and I have friends who are nurses, one of whom works in a C...
During an appearance on the “Oral Sessions With Renée Paquette” podcast, Corey Taylor discussed the COVID-19 safety procedures and protocols that are being implemented on SLIPKNOT‘s ongoing “Knotfest Roadshow” U.S. tour, featuring support from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, FEVER 333 and CODE ORANGE. “All the bands are super rad and so stoked to be back on the road,” Corey said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “And we have such stringent restrictions that everybody is really, really happy about it. We’re doing our best to kind of set the standard so other bands, other tours can kind of come around and follow the example. “Basically, [we’re playing] Live Nation-only venues, which require all staff to be vaccinated,” he explain...
This article originally appeared in the September 1995 issue of SPIN. It’s getting harder and harder to remember that, for much of his career, Neil Young has been regarded—if loved—as a self-destructive oddball. Even in his most celebrated decade, the 1970s, he shelved entire albums; others, such as Time Fades Away and On the Beach, were so determinedly marginal that they’ve never been reissued on CD. Then, in the ’80s, he released a notorious series of rockabilly, synth-pop, and country experiments so off-putting that his label, Geffen, eventually sued him for not sounding like himself. But starting with “Rockin in the Free World,” the anthem that bookends 1989’s Freedom, he went back to being Neil Young. Ragged Glory was a typically sprawling Crazy Horse album; Harvest Moon revisite...

This year’s digital DC Fandome has just unveiled the official trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. The two-and-a-half-minute-long trailer showcases the key villains like the Riddler and Penguin while Batman’s relationship with Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman is further revealed. Directed by Matt Reeves, this new take on the Caped Crusader portrays a much darker and grittier version of Batman who is hell-bent on stopping crime the only way he knows how — with force. The trailer fits well with the new Batman as most scenes shown are either in the rain or at night, where it is Batman’s turn to strike fear in the hearts of criminals. Throwing caution to the wind, Pattinson’s portrayal of Batman can be summed up in the last scene from the trailer. There are fewer traps and gadgets while the blunt ...
On top of the official trailer release for The Batman, DC’s online FanDome also teased fans with DCEU title The Flash. This film will see Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) aka The Flash, split into two different universes — one with Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne and the other involving Ben Affleck’s take on Batman. Miller greets fans in the introductory video and reveals that, as it is still in production, it is more of a “sneak peek” as they didn’t have “enough material.” Regardless of the length of the clip, fans are given a clear look at Miller’s full suit as well as an alternate version of himself and Supergirl. The clip ends with the trio approaching Batman to see if they can count on him to help with whatever plan they have hatched. The move is slated for a late 2022 release, so fans should e...
