Earlier this year, Warner Bros. revealed that critical darling Timothée Chalamet is set to star as a young Willy Wonka in an upcoming prequel film to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After offering a first look over the weekend, Chalamet has now previewed his “off-center” character in a new interview with TIME. “It’s not mining the darker emotions in life,” Chalamet told TIME when asked about his role. “It’s a celebration of being off-center and of being okay with the weirder parts of you that don’t quite fit in.” Best of all, it looks like Chalamet’s confectionary role will double as a soundtrack opportunity. The movie, which is titled Wonka, is also a musical, which means fans will get to hear plenty of presumably charming songs belted by Hollywood’s young sweetheart. Advertisement Rel...

The response is inaudible, but McGraw quickly says, “Then leave!” to laughs and applause. Later, McGraw explained to the audience that he was struggling with exhaustion. “I don’t know how many of y’all know this, but we’re shooting a film, [Yellowstone prequel] 1...

A collection of “mutant vehicles” straight from the Burning Man ecosystem has sold at Sotheby’s for tens of thousands. The vehicles were part of a broader charitable sale titled “Boundless Space: The Possibilities of Burning Man.” The auction, touted as a pivotal initiative to help keep Burning Man financially afloat for the immediate future, saw three vehicles in particular fetch frothy sums between $24,000 and $40,000 each. “A Mutant Vehicle is a unique, motorized creation that either shows little or no resemblance to their original form, or to any standard street vehicle,” explains Burning Man’s website. Outside of that rule, however, there are no rules. When it comes to making a mutant vehicle, artists modify as needed...
Does electronic music have certain “healing” qualities for those suffering from acute aches and pains? That was a question the team at Nurofen, a developer of over-the-counter, fast-acting pain relief medications, set out to answer. The company commissioned Dr. Claire Howlin, a psychology researcher at the University College Dublin, to analyze the relationship between music and pain relief. While Howlin had the blueprint for a track that she believed might assist in delivering natural pain relief for patients suffering from headaches, backaches, and other acute ailments, she needed a music producer to execute on the vision. Enter Anatole, a classically trained musician who had the talent to bring the resulting work, “All Of Us,” to life.&n...
